When we think of a person being attractive, the first thing that comes to mind is normally physique. But being "pretty" will only take you so far. This is why everyone needs to have a personality. One aspect of personality is level of intelligence which varies from person to person. You may not even think about it, but do we crave intelligence? Some readers are looking at their screen puzzled while others are agreeing 100 percent. But is intelligence really attractive?

Your intelligence is shown in a number of ways. People judge you based on how you speak or in your writing. You don't even realize that you are judging at times but you formulate opinions based off of that representation of a person.

There, their, they're, you'll live if you see a few grammar mistakes. Why does intelligence get so much attention when it comes to dating or going out with someone? Let's visit some scenarios to test our tolerability for a lack of intelligence and see why.

1. Inappropriate Questions:

"Lemme hit?"
"Send me pics?"
"Wyd? (What you doing?)"
"Wya? (Where ya at?)"
"Do you smoke weed?"
"You ever get high?"
"Can you come over?"
“Netflix and chill?”

These are the kind of questions that lead you to figure out what a guy is up to. Most guys want to quench their thirst for intimacy. An intelligent guy will be more compelled to get to know who you are before asking you to take such a revealing step in your relationship. An intelligent guy knows how to be intimate with clothes on.

Any guy that constantly wants to know where you are is no good. Why does it matter when and where you are? If he cannot hold a real conversation, you have most likely been admired by a bum or a creep.

If someone wants to know right out of the gate if you do drugs, where do you think their life is headed? He's probably the kind of guy that listens to Future, but doesn't have one. Don't associate yourself with guys that only want to “chill” if you're down to smoke.

2. Too Much Slang?:

“Ayo, shawty”
“What's good, fam?”
“Baby girl, wyd?”
“Look at your cute little a**”
“She's my b****h”
“You my h**”

There is nothing wrong with slang, but the wrong amount of it will ruin first impressions. It is completely different if you already know the guy and joke around with him like that usually. If a guy just meets you and uses the above phrases, you'll most likely be offended. Certain names show you how disrespectful a guy is or how entitled a guy believes he is. A guy that believes he is entitled can actually be dangerous. If there are signs of aggression or attitude, (like in their tone) they might be abusive.

3. Does He Know His Grammars?:

Yous don't need no guy wid bad grammars. It tell you rite away intelligence level end what you is in four. Bee sure two leave any guy whose knowledge is low. Yous can't really relate too a persons you can't hold no conversation wid. Grammars is like manners. It rude two not no which your is the right you’re. Or debatin between are or is. Yous got too draw de line somewear.

Have these scenarios made you realize how important intelligence is? So you answer my question ladies. Is intelligence attractive?

Will you say he's the one or "boy bye"?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
