Christmas time is starting to enter the picture again, which means that the decorations go up, the music gets popular, and the obsessed Christmas lovers show up once again. Even though Thanksgiving has not happened yet, there's no way of holding your excitement for the greatest holiday of the year. Everything becomes Christmas over the entirety of November and December.
There are people who like Christmas and people who like Christmas. The difference between these two types of people is prominent when it comes to the holiday. If you are waiting for late December to start celebrating then you, most likely, are not an obsessed Christmas lover. Here's how you know that you are obsessed with the most wonderful time of the year.
1. You Are Sick Of People Saying, "Can't You Wait Until After Thanksgiving?"
You most likely start listening to Christmas music the day after Halloween ends or, in some instances, earlier. You've heard your friends complain about people who do this, but that doesn't phase you. Christmas only comes once a year and you might as well make it last.
2. You Actually Enjoy Putting Your Christmas Lights Up
Most people dread putting up the infamous Christmas lights, but this is one of your favorite parts of the preparation. The lights add the magic that doesn't exist prior and, also, makes you look better than majority of your neighbors. There's no Christmas without the lights.
3. You Befriend Anyone Who Shares Your Christmas Spirit
Sometimes it's hard to find someone who expresses their love of Christmas as intensely as you do but, when you do, it's a holiday in itself. You finally have someone that appreciates this time of the year as much as you do.
4. You Make Everyone Participate In Decorating The Tree
Although you try to get everyone to participate, it's usually just yourself putting all of the ornaments up. That's okay though, because you can decorate the tree exactly how you want to.
5. You Wear Ugly Christmas Sweaters Religiously
Christmas sweaters are usually worn as a joke, but you wear them because you actually enjoy them. You don't own just one ugly Christmas sweater, but multiple different kinds.
6. "Elf" Is Your All-Time Favorite Movie
You don't just watch "Elf" around the holidays, but all year long. It's your favorite movie and you find yourself quoting it on every occasion. You also might be aware that there is, indeed, an "Elf the Musical."
7. You Also Love The Classic Christmas Movies
"Rudolph," "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," "Frosty," the list goes on and on. Most people find these specials creepy, but you thoroughly enjoy watching them. They are classics and must be watched every season.
8. You Start Buying Christmas Presents Earlier Than Everyone Else
Most people start shopping in November, or early December, for Christmas gifts. You start looking way earlier than this. Actually, you are probably searching all year long to find that perfect present.
9. Your House Always Smells Of Christmas Cookies
You are always making Christmas cookies. There's most likely a new batch coming out every day. This results in your house always smelling of cookies, which is not a bad thing.
10. Snow Is A Necessity Around The Holidays
Your parents have tried to get you to go away to the summer warmth, but you'd rather be celebrating the holidays in the snow. There's nothing more magical than a snowy Christmas. A Christmas without snow just isn't right.
11. Christmas Is Your Favorite Holiday
None of the other holidays compare to your love of Christmas. You would celebrate Christmas for the entire year if you could, but you just have to deal with celebrating for a few months. Christmas is a special time of the year for you and you don't care who knows it.
