Netflix has finally released the final season of "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt." This season is different from the other seasons due to its extremely obvious social commentary. The show tackles topics pertinent to today's issues from the Me Too Movement to social media data mining. Be warned, there are spoilers ahead!

In the previous season, Titus auditions for a part in a "Sesame Street" parody where he's sexually harassed by a puppet. The puppet was an obvious allusion to Harvey Weinstein as it alludes to all the heinous acts he's committed to aspiring actresses. Titus fears coming out to the public about the ordeal since the director is able to ruin his life due to his connections similar to Weinstein. I thought that this part of the season was a good addition to the show, but it seemed to be blown off. It was a big deal for a few minutes, but then it never really gets resolved. That might be because the issue is still prominent, but as a comedy, it seemed a bit dark.

Another big joke of the season was at the cost of millennials. It was honestly cringy to what extent they went to to make fun of the generation that's probably watching the show. The show portrayed millennials as snobby, over-sensitive kids. One of the plots of the episode was that millennial males are dating older females since they are less likely to be offended by flirting. This was a complete miss for me as it wasn't funny and didn't really add to the plot. Another subplot was about the daughter who was spoiled since she never took responsibility for her actions. It felt like the show was trying too hard to be relatable to the younger demographic, but they completely missed the mark.

Although the season ended with a happy note, I didn't really enjoy most of it. I almost stopped watching after the second episode, but I continued since I just wanted to finish what I started.
