Kids Talk Donald Trump

“If he’s going to be rude to ladies, he shouldn’t be a president!”

Kids Talk Donald Trump

Donald Trump. Also known as The Donald, Trump of Doom, Hair Furor, Trumpster, Hurricane Donald and unfortunately the next potential President. No matter what you call him, he is the talk of the town these days. Recently The Fine Brothers on YouTube used their popular react series Kids React to talk about Donald Trump in a very simple and very cute way. The Kids watched video clips of Donald trump being interviewed and talking throughout his campaign so far. Here are some of the best responses.

In reference to him receiving “a small loan of a million dollars” from his father, almost all the kids responded in awe. One young lady yelled, “A SMALL LOAN” but by far the best response was another girl who says, mocking Trump, “it hasn’t been easy for me but I’m filthy rich." Seeing the response from these kids raises the absurdity of Trumps comment and forces viewers to rethink the whole situation as well.

As the video continues, you begin to see the kids grow more and more shocked as Trump becomes more rude and outspoken. They begin to throw phrases out there like “He’s a 5-year-old” and “HE’S LIKE A HOUSEWIFE OF BEVERLY HILLS.” The kids can sense that what he’s saying is inappropriate and they react extremely and unfortunately. The nice thing about having kids react to him is that they pretty much say what is on their mind as loudly as they can, mirroring most of the emotions of American adults.

After viewing all the provided video clips, The Fine Brothers, the men making this video, ask the kids questions seeing if they can identify who Donald Trump is and how they feel about him. These kids clearly know who he is, one going so far as to reference his hair as the “comb over you have to know.” But the best discussion comes when they tell the kids that he is running for president. Immediately one girl goes “OF COURSE, could he not win please,” in a tone so filled with disdain, I could only wish to achieve it one day.

As they move in to the more serious questions the kids begin to discuss immigration and restricting the freedoms that some people in our country have. You can clearly see the kids don’t fully understand the logic and, while some agree that illegal immigration isn’t the best, many also understand that his ideas also aren’t the worst out there. I personally find that one little girl put it perfectly by saying, “some of his ideas aren’t the worst, but most of them are” and she’s right. While he doesn’t have the class and understanding that many of our politicians already do, he also doesn’t have completely poor ideas.

This is not my endorsement of Donald Trump. I completely agree with the kids that he should not be our next president and that he is rude, mean, undiplomatic, unclassy and just so many more poor things. But what I did learn from this video is that people do truly appreciate speaking your mind openly and honestly, just with a lot more humbleness mixed in there. While I think Trump has a lot to learn about politics and freedom of speech before he can be the next president, I also think that more people should be willing to speak up about their beliefs, before someone like Donald Trump prevents them from doing so.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
