Just because you're now an adult and have a million responsibilities, doesn't mean you can't be a kid-at-heart. When life gets hard, it's better to be a kid-at-heart! You can see the positives in every situation, and you learn to enjoy the little things life has to offer. Being a kid-at-heart does not automatically mean you are immature or irresponsible. Instead, it is about the characteristics you possess.
One of these characteristics being the utter spontaneity of being a child. Kids don't understand the aspect of planning things around a schedule. If they're free, they don't understand why they can't drop everything and go do whatever they want to do. Kids-at-heart are like this, too. They don't let themselves adapt to the mundane life of living through a planner or checklist. They embrace every moment life has to offer.
Being fearless is such a big thing for those who consider themselves kids-at-heart. Kids don't understand the fear of falling short, and they don't let self-doubt shade any of their decisions. If they have a dream, they are going to pursue it without having doubts or hesitations. They shoot for the stars, and that is something anybody can respect.
Grudges? What is that? A kid-at-heart doesn't know. They forgive freely. They understand that every day is a new start. Have you ever seen kids fight? They're mad at each other for a brief period of time. Once they aren't mad anymore, they immediately go back to playing, and they act as though nothing happened. And if it was a serious offense, they just don't play with you anymore! This is how all conflicts should be handled.
Kids don't judge people. That is something developed when you are no longer naive. Kids aren't taught hate. They just love everybody and everything unconditionally. While they might be curious about some things that come off as being judgmental, they are, most likely, genuinely curious.
Curiosity. Kids are curious about everything. As grown-ups, we tend to lose our lack of curiosity, but kids are constantly trying to learn new things and are open-minded to the new happenings of the world. Adults become set in their ways, and it turns into their way or the highway.
Kids-at-heart have the best qualities that children have. They enjoy everything life has to offer without taking things for granted. They set their expectations high, and they aren't afraid to work to get there. They always enjoy the little things in life, and we should all learn something from them.
