I have always been a fan of Kevin Hart. I remember him playing over four roles in one movie and doing great with each role. I remember first seeing "Soul Plane" and thinking it was kind of bad but kind of good at the same time. I remember his grind to get to where he is now. I am proud of Kevin Hart. I can respect someone who can reach the point of fame that he is at now and remains humble. Because I am proud of him and I respect him, I want to see his career get better.
Now that Kevin Hart is constantly getting starring roles in big movies, I see a flaw in where his career is going. Movie producers and writers are not writing comedy movies anymore. Instead of just writing a good comedy movie, movies scripts are being written based off of Kevin Hart’s comedic delivery and comedy shows. It is fine to include a line from one or two of Kevin’s shows, but an entire movie in which he is not acting like his character but like himself is not working. If Kevin Hart wants to be taken seriously as an actor he needs roles that are not specially crafted for him. He needs roles that will challenge him to act better.
If every acting role that Will Smith took built the script around his character from "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," he would not be the successful actor that he is now. Will Smith would not be considered one of the best actors alongside people like George Clooney and Denzel Washington if writers only wrote to what he was used to doing.
Kevin Hart needs to start taking more challenging roles in order to become a better actor and to gain more respect in the entertainment industry. Once he gets better acting roles he will have a more successful career.
With all that being said, support Kevin Hart in his latest movie called “Central Intelligence” with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson coming out June 17, 2016.
