What better birthday gift is there than to find out that you will be walking down the Victoria's Secret runway? I don't think it exists. That's just what models and dynamic duo, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, received for their twentieth birthdays this year. Being inducted into the 2015 freshman class of Victoria's Secret Angels has enough excitement within itself; but to be inducted with your best friend, what more could you ask for? (And let's not forget about the spread they shot together for Vogue earlier this year #bestfriendgoals).
Gigi's experience was captured on video and shared through various social media platforms such as: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram by the model herself and Victoria's Secret. In the video, you can catch a small glimpse of her audition right before the good news was given to her right on the spot. The executive producer asks her "What are you doing on Nov. 9 and 10? Why don't you come join us?", to then which Gigi crouched down to the floor replying "Really?" as tears of joy began to stream out. You can watch Gigi's reaction for yourself here.
Kendall's audition and reaction was not captured on video like Gigi's was. But, through means of social media it is clear that she is more than excited for this new journey in her modeling career. Kendall uploaded a fan-drawn picture of her and Gigi standing side-by-side (see photo below) captioning it: "the best birthday present EVER! always been one of my biggest dreams to be on this catwalk. @victoriassecret's newest recruits. oh and I get to do it with my best friend."
Kendall and Gigi will be joining well-known Angels: Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Behati Prinsloo (who is forever winning in the husband department), Candice Swanepoel and Lily Aldridge, who will be rocking the $2 million fantasy bra during this year's runway show, (just to name a few).
While the runway is already looking hot for this year's fashion show, the musical lineup is looking just as good; performers include: Ellie Goulding, Selena Gomez and The Weeknd.
