9 Celebrity Couples That Remind Us Love Still Exists

It’s official, 2016 will forever be known as the year of the celebrity breakups. With the end of Brangelina we can finally call it- love is dead! …Or is it? Yes, we’ve lost some our beloved couples this year. We will forever be mourning the death of Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney, Demi and Wilmer, and of course Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris (actually what’s the verdict on that one? #replytweet I’m curious), but before we start swearing off the opposite sex for good, let’s take a moment to appreciate our favorite celebrity couples that survived dun dun DUN: The Year of Breakups.

1. Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard

Okay but seriously if they ever broke up I think the entire world would give up on true love entirely. The couple known for their comedic perfection has been together since 2007, got married in 2013 and have two beautiful daughters (I’m assuming, I mean look at their parents). From starring in cutesy refrigerator commercials to each other's tv shows/ blockbuster hits, these two are not just surviving, they’re thriving.

2. Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth

Not only did they survive the year of breakups but they GOT BACK TOGETHER in the year of breakups!! #loveisnotdead The couple met in 2009, got engaged in 2012 then broke up, it seemed for good, in 2013. However, earlier this year the two reconnected and the engagement appears to be back on! Talk about a whirlwind romance.

3. John Legend and Chrissy Teigen

The creators of the Insta PDA themselves have survived the year and added to their fam! They welcomed baby Luna this past April and promptly showed the world how cute their genes are by showing off their new daughter in what else but an adorable Instagram post. They haven't stopped showing the world how much they love each other, and I really hope they never stop! It's made for some pretty great songs.

4. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West

As much as it pains me, I can’t deny it- these two have been killing it this year. While other couples have been falling apart at the seams, these two have apparently only gotten stronger! From Kim defending her man in taylorgate, Kanye’s famous rants calling out his love for her and them displaying their PDA all over the world, there's no way these two will be calling it quits anytime soon.

5. Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum

Why is it that all the hottest guys are always taken in the most adorable relationships? These two have been going strong ever since Step Up (yep, the original! So you know it’s been awhile). Honestly, the most important and defining moment of their relationship might be their Lip Sync Battle. If you haven’t seen it, get ready for the best video of your life, and if you have...enjoy for the 5th...6th..however many "th" times, cause you know you've watched it more than once.

6. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds

The reigning champs of World’s Most Attractive Couple since 2011 are currently expecting their second child together and continue to define #relationshipgoals in every talk show appearance, Instagram post, and red carpet appearance. Although the couple tends to be more on the private side, we don’t need constant evidence to know how happy these two are.

7. Chris Pratt and Anna Farris

What happens when two beautiful, goofy and all around wonderful human beings come together in holy matrimony? PERFECTION THAT’S WHAT. Definitely a contender for Hollywood’s cutest, funniest couple, they’re been married since 2009 and haven’t stopped gushing about each other since. For example, in a recent article with the Huffington Post Farris is quoted saying, “"He is sexy, but more importantly he's a great person," she can't help but gush about her hubby. "When I was falling in love with him, I loved how kind he was to people. I loved how smart he is, but he's not pretentious at all. He doesn't wear that as a badge—he kind of lets people slowly discover it." Excuse me while I cry.

8. Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher

They started off as love interests on the very popular, That 70s Show, and 14 years later, they became love interests in actual life. A notoriously private couple, they wed in 2015 (and denied it for months, as a way to torture their fans? Mess with the media? We’ll never know) and welcomed their daughter, Wyatt Isabelle, in 2014. Now they’re expecting their second! We cherish every talk show and red carpet appearance we can get as we get a glimpse into their obviously perfect relationship. I expect surviving the year of breakups wasn’t very difficult for these two.

9. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler

Yeah, you best believe I’m including this power couple!! They may not be romantically involved in real life, but they are still together nonetheless. From just recently winning the first ever shared guest comedy actress appearance for co-hosting SNL last December, to their recent blockbuster hit Sisters, they’re absolutely killing and redefying the meaning of friendship. We couldn’t do life without them and hopefully, we will never have to.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
