Monday marked the Fourth of July AKA Independence Day. The national holiday celebrates our country gaining independence from the British Empire back in 1776 and becoming a nation of our own. Since then, the country has gone through many years of constant ups and downs. Recently, the presidential race has stirred the pot among Americans and opinions boil over every so often. Some of it is a load of B.S., if you ask me. Other than a mess of a presidential race, it's been a rough few weeks since the Orlando massacre. Gun control measures have come and gone in the federal government once again, and people have been aiming towards a better world for all no matter what. Aside from all the bad that may happen day in and day out I still wake up each day proud to be an American. Sometimes you need to forget about all the bad things going on in the country and appreciate what we have as citizens of the U.S.A. We're the land of the free and the home of the brave. We're the best country in the world. We're the United States of America.
