Wowie wow wow this coming weekend is the Siena Heights is the student ran One Acts and through this I have gotten the opportunity to play Junie B Jones in Junie B Jones Jingle Bells Batman Smells based off the book of the same name by Barbara Park. I have love love loved playing this character and have enjoyed every minute of working on this show. During this show the cast and I have brought up the question “What would these characters be like once they got into high school or college.” Well now I have come up with a few idea and how a couple of these characters may have ended up. Welcome to Junie B Jones High School Senior and the Fight against Senioritis.

Every day she still insists on being called Junie B, B B B B! Only now she doesn’t really explain what the B really stands for, if you ask she may say something as a joke like Blueberry. Now She has calmed down her energy and loudness but only just a bit. She spends most her days in the art studio, drawing, painting, making a mess for a purpose. Her Senior year really doesn’t scare her like it could others, she’s excited to go to college! She wants to major in the Fine Arts focusing in Painting and then minoring is something like biology she’s not quite sure yet. She spends most her time with her current best friend May aka blabbermouth May. They started hanging out in middle school after they realized that their little rivalry in first grade was actually very funny. Their senior year May ended up being Valedictorian of their class, according to Junie B she is insanely smart like Mad scientist smart.

The two oddly work well together, May keeps Junie B in check while Junie B helps her loosen up just a bit. Also in their friend group is Herbert, Junie B’s first grade bestest friend, only now it is a bit different. Herb and Junie have been going back and forth with an on again off again relationship. They started dating sometime during their sophomore year and seem to constantly be breaking up and yet always end up coming back to one another. May thinks they should just give it up but she’s off being perfectly happy with her boyfriend Jose so Junie B doesn’t take much of her advice when it comes to her and Herb. Herb really a good guy and great at a lot of things, sports, school government and he usually gets along with everyone. It’s just Junie B that always has him coming back yet running away. Lastly is the once extremely shy and awkward Sheldon is now an outgoing ladies man. He was Homecoming king and goes to all the best parties, he may not get the best grades but that doesn’t make him any less of a cool guy. He doesn’t really hang around Junie B as much as he uses too but they’re still friends. Sheldon’s a little too busy living his senior year to its fullest.

A lot of people grew up with these children through Parks many books, many might have even seen them as friends. With these last two months working with and as these character I have come to love them. So with that love I have created what I imagine to be the children from the Junie B series as seniors in high school, but hey who know there could be a whole new adventure found in college.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
