Hello! This week, I am once again bringing you a drawing that is a bit more personal to me. I tried to draw one symbol that represented my current life and lifestyle so far. After studying the image, let me know what you thought and if you have any questions or need clarification. This is my first attempt and the drawing will change and be revised as time goes on, I would love some feedback as I do so!

First off, I chose the overall shape to be a shield because I like to think of myself and a more protective and defensive person. The smaller symbols and contents of the shield represent things that I enjoy and are apart of my life. The center of the shield has a T-Square and a compass over two crescents. The tools represent the field I am currently studying in school, which is Architectural Engineering. The crescents represent my deep interest in space and astronomy. The "J" and "R" are my initials. I am not an egotistical person, but I do take great pride in my name. The bird like symbol in the bottom is similar to the Ruger Company's Phoenix Symbol. I found this symbol when I was younger and have taken great interest in it because the company's name is the same as my last name, over time I have adapted the symbol to make it more of my own. The small symbol near the inside right wing is from a Sci-Fi video game that has had a large influence on me. The same goes for the one on the inside left as well. I think that both games and the lore behind them have broadened my imagination greatly. They continue to inspire me to study more astronomy. Overall, I am satisfied with the look of this banner so far, but I am considering making over versions of the banner just to see how they compare. I am also looking to moving the image over to Photoshop and improving it there. Thank you for reading my article this week and don't forget to comment below on facebook to let me know what you think!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
