When I was a little kid, Christmas was always that special holiday were my family and friends would gather around the table and eat our Christmas dinner (which my dad proudly made). We ate to our hearts desire while Christmas music filled the house.
One of the things I love about Christmas is the decorations on the houses that fill the neighborhood with colorful light. I also love decorating the tree with ornaments and topping it off with the star and the Nativity scene. Also, the season of Christmas brings a certain "joy" to everyone even if something bad has happened. Christmas always seems to bring happiness in peoples lives and strengthens the essence of giving back to others and spreading love. What even makes it so much better is the snow that covers the ground in a thick white blanket that kids sleigh over.
To add the cherry on top, Christmas brings the holiday sales of gifts and other goods after Christmas Day. Christmas does come with its cons, with the immense amount of traffic of people coming home from Christmas vacation to the never ending lines of customers waiting to be checked out of their last minute Christmas shopping. Nonetheless, Christmas is a time of happiness and hope and the prospect of the new year to come. The feeling of waking up and seeing the presents under the tree gives an excitement that will last a lifetime. I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and a happy New Year.
