So, recently I watched Suicide Squad. I was kind of reluctant to go but my good friend wanted to see it. I’m not a big fan of the whole superhero movie bit.
I was blown away by the story line. It didn’t involve but a short snip of “superheroes”. The movie was based on a group of criminal “bad guys” that banded together to do good. They were recruited by a woman, whom I questioned her intentions which didn’t seem so good at parts.
One particular character popped out at me.
The joker.
As I said before I have never been into the story of super heroes.
But in this movie. My Lanta.
The story of the bad guys doing good aside, this movie exhibited an amazing love story that made me fall in love with the Joker.
When we was captured he was out in an asylum, where he was ridiculed by a psychiatrist Harleen Quinzel. As time passed they constructed feelings for each other. It was a twisted relationship. It came to the point of him coming Harley into assisting in his escape. Following this, it came to a scene where he was asking Harley if he wanted to “live for him”. If she wanted his lifestyle and if she would attribute to it. As her answer, she voluntary plummets into a vat of chemicals. The joker starts to walk away, but becomes hesitant on his decision. After a minor delay, he dives in after her and there so began the official Harley Quin and joker relationship.
Sounds crazy right?
At any point every girl dreams of the relationship of having a man that would go to extreme lengths just for you. (Even if it came to bailing you out of prison which he does)
This movie set more unreasonable expectations for my next relationship.
Even though I think the joker is extremely attractive in this movie, green hair and all.
Anyways, I want that type of relationship. Even if they have that fatal flaw. Despite his past, despite all the wrong they’ve done, they both love each other unconditionally. It’s a beautiful thing really. All good relationships suffer from a little psycho. Isn’t that what makes it so exciting??
