Whether you're interested in debate, a foreign language, or even anime, chances are there's a club for you. In school, clubs are one of your main gateways to finding people with similar interests and ideas, but they can be great ways to meet new people of different views as well. Although they look great on applications, hard to find, crucial skills in your career, social life, and general life can be provided.

Club's social aspects are perhaps the most common reason you'll join. From meeting new people to making memories and having fun, clubs offer a great median of fun and work. When meeting new people in clubs, there's probably a large percentage oh those with hobbies or opinions similar to yours, while they are good friends to make connections with, try talking to people who aren't your doppelgangers. Talking and getting to know people with different opinions and hobbies can widen your possibilities for all kinds of things.

If you're worried about having fun in a particular club, consider looking or asking about what the club does. Many clubs plan a wide range of activities from volunteer work to eating out and watching movies. No matter what the club does, you're guaranteed plenty of ways to have fun and make amazing memories.

As far as education goes, clubs and other extracurricular activities allow for becoming a well-rounded individual with leadership skills and opportunities. No matter how old you are or what grade you're in, showing you're a well-rounded individual is extremely important in school and real life, like when applying to jobs. Hand in hand with well-rounded aspects is leadership. These activities provide a multitude of leadership opportunities applicable to real life applications useful for the future.

Perhaps the best reasons to join clubs and activities provided by your school or community are the life skills they coincide with. Learning to seize opportunity, making discoveries in both your personal life and outside, and even becoming comfortable with not being in your comfort zone are imperative skills everyone should know. What better place to learn these than with your friends and peers.

No matter you reason for joining a club or participating in extracurricular activities, there's no doubt you'll learn key life skills all while having the time of your life.

So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
