Let's Be Real, You Can't Blame Jews For Everything, We Aren't THAT Powerful

Jews are not your modern-day scapegoat.

Let's Be Real, You Can't Blame Jews For Everything, We Aren't THAT Powerful

As you've most likely heard, Brett Kavanaugh has recently been sworn in as supreme court justice despite the sexual assault claims against him. Outrage has risen and voter registrations have boomed as volunteers campaign, "The future is in our hands, register to vote to make a difference."

Even the once neutral popstar Taylor Swift broke her political silence as her recent Instagram post endorsed liberal values. But this has disappointed her neo-Nazi admirers who can no longer glorify their "Nazi Barbie." Consequently, the provoked white supremacists have now decided to blame the Jews. Sounds just.

In reaction to the latest news, hate crimes against Jews–represented by "caricatures of the Jewish members of the U.S. Senate with Stars of David drawn on their foreheads,"–have been present in four college campuses via repulsive fliers that blame the Jewish minority for Kavanaugh's sexual misconduct allegations. In addition to swastikas and racist graffiti drawn on the campus of Sacramento City College.

Hate in America: Anti-Semitic fliers blaming Jews for opposition to Brett Kavanaugh reportedly appear at @ucdavis & @Vassar.pic.twitter.com/QQkeCGgECs twitter.com

Although the diverse campuses of the University of California at Berkley and Davis, Vassar and Marist do not condone the behavior and are determined to denounce those who participated in this intolerance, anti-semitism remains. The fliers were produced by the Daily Stormer Book Club organizations, who have been described as "'small crews of young white men who follow and support Andrew Anglin and his neo-Nazi website, the Daily Stormer.'"

Their intent is to repair the "Jewish problem."

"Every time some Anti-White, Anti-American, Anti-freedom event takes place, you look at it, and it's Jews behind it" (Stormer Book Club).

What an illogical statement and generalization to standby. Not all men are abusive. Not all women are victims. Not all Muslims are terrorists. Not all Jews are a problem or conspiring against America.

And, no, our people by and large don't feel that Goys, or non-Jews, are inferior. At the end of the day, we are humans and not divided by our ancestry.

Forget about the young men who live in a scary time today, the Jewish peoples have historically always lived in a judgemental, anti-semitic society. From ancient empires to the "blood libel" in the Middle Ages to the Holocaust and even to contemporary times, Jews were ostracized and treated as "The Other."

As a Jewish young woman in college, I am appalled by the fact that people would blame not just everyone who identifies with Judaism but me for the alleged actions of Justice Kavanaugh. As a woman, no as a respectful human being, I would never condone sexual assault. As a victim of multiple sexual harassments, I would never falsely accuse someone. As a young American, I owe it to my community, society, and future generations to champion America, not supposedly conspire against it.

But, still, I'm somehow connected to Kavanaugh's purported assaults becuase, well, I'm Jewish and as a Hebe, Kike, Sheeny, whatever else you want to call me, at the end of the day, I have as much power over another man's actions as you. Hence, none.

Let's not get the Jews involved, it's not about minorities or cultures or religions, this issue is about people. Humanity and the way we treat one another.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
