I don't know about you, but whenever I have my devotional time now, I always have a Christian artist or band playing low in the background. It actually keeps me better focused on the task at hand and makes my time with God even more meaningful. Music brings out so much within what I'm doing and becomes a soundtrack for my life; there are moments I can recall in my mind and remember exactly what I was listening to when they happened. My Jesus Jams are in several of those moments. Here's a list of Christian songs you need on your Jesus Jams playlist ASAP:

1. "From The Day" by I AM THEY.

2. "Oceans" by Hillsong United.

3. "Brother" by NEEDTOBREATHE ft. Gavin Degraw.

"Brother let me be your shelter,
Never leave you all alone.
I can be the one you call,
When you’re low."

4. "Love Came Down" by Kari Jobe.

5. "You Will Never Run" by Rend Collective.

6. "Nobody" by Selena Gomez.

Yes, this is actually a Christian song. Next time it comes across your playlist, really listen to the lyrics. It's actually a brilliant song for those who struggle with putting romantic relationships above their relationship with God, yours truly included.

7. "I Am Yours" by Lauren Daigle.

8. "Be Enthroned" by Jeremy Riddle, Bethel Music.

9. "You Make Me Brave" by Bethel Music.

10. "Abba" by Jonathan David Helser, Melissa Helser.

I heard this song for the first time last Spring at a Bethel concert in Virginia Beach. I've been absolutely IN LOVE with it since. It was such a God moment at the concert, with hundreds of people singing their souls out to God, and it just makes my heart smile every time I hear it!

11. "O Come To The Altar" by Elevation Worship.

12. "Jesus, We Love You" by Paul McClure, Bethel Music.

13. "You Don't Miss A Thing" by Amanda Cook, Bethel Music.

14. "TESTIFY" by NEEDTOBREATHE.

15. "Furious" by Jeremy Riddle, Bethel Music.

"Nothing can tear us from
The grip of His mighty love.
We've only glimpsed His vast affection,
Heard whispers of His heart and passion.
It's pouring out…"

16. "Pieces" by Steffany Gretzinger, Bethel Music.

17. "Beautiful Surrender" by Jonathan David Helser, Melissa Helser.

18. "Death Was Arrested" by North Point InsideOut, Seth Condrey.

This song was in one of the sets at my youth camp over the summer and I'm not exaggerating when I say everyone in my youth group adored this song. Just reading the lyrics, it's got something great about it, but then you listen to it and dimensions abound!

19. "So Will I" by Hillsong United, sung by Amanda Cook.

20. "Let Your Glory Fall" by Kari Jobe.

21. "Jesus, Your Love" by Kristene Dimarco.

There's 21 songs to add to your Jesus Jams playlist if you don't already have them, and continue searching! There are so many great Christian songs out there just waiting to be discovered and loved!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
