Jesse McCartney is back from hiatus with a new single and an amazing tour, the Better With You Tour. This isn't my first time seeing Jesse in concert, I actually saw him in March at Adrian College. This tour has been something I've been anticipating since April when I got my ticket to go. With my best friend in tow (the same one from Common Ground) we headed to Detroit to see him.

Just Seconds Apart

Just Seconds Apart are 18-year-old triplets from Arizona born literally seconds apart. These three stole the show from the start. I wish I had been able to stay after and meet them but being followed by their band account on Instagram and Twitter is good enough for me.

Their setlist was a combination of originals (like Santorini Dream) and covers kept us on our toes and dancing to the beat. I have a newfound love for this band and their music.

You can catch them finishing up the Better With You Tour with Jesse McCartney and be on the lookout for new music.

Public

Public is a band from Cinncinati, Ohio composed of Ben Lapps, John Vaughn and Matthew Alvarado. Not much is known about the band since they haven't been signed but they have a pretty large fanbase considering.

Their setlist was also a combination of originals and covers. Their EP Sweet Lemonade has snips of their originals.

Public blew me away and may have also blew out my ear drums as well. They were full of energy and insisted that we all have a good time before the "Prince" and "Legend" Jesse came out.

They'll also be finishing up the Better With You Tour alongside Just Seconds Apart.

Jesse McCartney

Jesse McCartney is a 31-year-old singer from Ardsley, New York. Jesse captured hearts in the late 90s and 00s. After a hiatus, he is back and better than ever.

I was lucky enough to find his entire setlist from the concert online and it's accurate! He didn't disappoint at all and made sure to end it on a high note, with Beautiful Soul.

Jesse never fails to create a wonderful show for his fans and being surrounded by almost all of his fans from Michigan was truly amazing. Jesse's next stops can be found here, since I can't accurately determine where he'll be when you read this.

The Better With You Tour was an experience I will remember forever thanks to Just Seconds Apart, Public and Jesse McCartney himself. If your city isn't sold out, I highly recommend going and experiencing it for yourself.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
