Who is the best male singer that you've ever heard? Many people would answer, Justin Bieber or Ed Sheeran, but my answer to that question would be Jesse McCartney.
As I looked back to the time when I was seven years old, I used to watch Disney Channel with my sisters. We loved watching Disney Channel at that time. Every day after we come back from school, my sisters and I would unpack our backpacks and take out our homework to do. At the same time, we would turn on the television to watch Disney Channel. I didn't know who Jesse McCartney was at the time until we watched a news program that popped up in the channel called "Disney 411." It was that program where we heard his most beautiful and angelic voice singing the lyrics to the song, "The Second Star to the Right," from Disney's 1953 classic film, "Peter Pan."
When my sisters and I looked up to see whom the melodious voice belonged to, we were stunned to see that it belonged a handsome young man named Jesse McCartney. Yes, we were awestruck and mesmerized by this young man's singing voice. The more I heard him sing "The Second Star to the Right," the more I thought of Peter Pan, the character in the Disney film, singing that song to us. In fact, my sisters and I really felt like we were actually in Neverland. Because of Jesse McCartney, the song was so magical to us. For that reason, Disney's "Peter Pan" become one of our favorite Disney movies of all time.
My sisters and I became very obsessed with this male singer since then. As he became a more recognized singer, we were blown away by one of his biggest hits called "Beautiful Soul." We could feel the genuineness and soulfulness of his voice as he sings the verses of the song. What I would like to point out about his songs was that they were so inspirational. "Beautiful Soul" overall, taught us that the most important quality in a person was not their appearance, but their true nature.
After, we were amazed by another inspirational hit from him, which was the song, "Because You Live." This song also strongly stood out to us because, in this song, he reminds us that we live in a cruel world and even someone like himself is hurting from the inside, as if it is the end of the world for him. However, throughout the song, he tells us there is still hope in making the world beautiful for him because there are people who have the courage to offer their faith and kindness to him. When I come to think about it, both of these songs also subtly encourage girl power. Another song we were also fascinated by was his cover of "I'll Try" from the soundtrack of the Disney film, "Tinker Bell and The Lost Treasure." His voice truly captured the pain and hope behind the lyrics and it was the perfect song to listen to whenever we were in low spirits.
Not only does he have talent in singing but he also has a talent in voice acting as well. My sisters and I were completely impressed with his voice-acting in the popular video game Kingdom Hearts, where he portrayed two characters named Roxas and Ventus. Jesse perfectly captured the distinct personalities of these characters and even executed the emotions conveyed in them. Because of this, he was well-praised for his voice-acting by the fans of the Kingdom Hearts franchise.
Unlike Justin Bieber, Jesse McCartney has a clean image and is a healthy role model. He didn't do anything scandalous or do anything that gets him into trouble! One of the best things about him that separates him from Justin Bieber is that he does not take drugs. Furthermore, Jesse McCartney is very loyal and kind to his fans. Whenever he holds a concert for his fans, we make sure not to disappoint them and shows great appreciation towards his fans who went to see him. According to what I heard, Jesse McCartney gave a real kiss on a fan's cheeks even though the fan asked for a fake kiss. Jesse McCartney indeed loves his fans!
Out of all male singers, Jesse McCartney is our number one favorite male singer of all time.
We always hope to go to one of his concerts someday. We were discouraged by the fact that we missed his concert tour on August 31st due to our busy lives.
No matter what people say, Jesse McCartney is still one of the greatest male singers of all time. It's a shame that the newer generations and those who miss out or have never heard of Jesse McCartney will never know what a great singer he is. From what I can tell you, Justin Bieber nor Ed Sheeran can ever match up to the brilliant Jesse McCartney.
