1. Jeffree keeps it real.

If you've ever seen Jeffree's YouTube channel, you've probably noticed that Jeffree is someone who always keeps it real. He prides himself on his brutal honesty and the fact that he refuses to be bought or influenced by any brand.

According to Jeffree, "I don't know about other people on YouTube, but I do know that I am one of the only people that has never been paid to say that I like something. And I am someone who just keeps it 100% blunt. I don't give a fuck if you're famous. I don't give a fuck if your brand's in the drug store."

Jeffree does not discriminate. He judges a product based on it's quality, not based on the name of the brand or the store it comes from.

Jeffree has faced drama for expressing his honest opinions regarding certain products. After Jeffree compared the packaging of Kylie's overpriced makeup brushes to tin foil and said that it looked like something straight out of the Dollar Tree, he was removed from Kylie's PR list. Jeffree wrote on Twitter, "I love when I speak the truth about a product, and then I get removed... Hahaha these companies really be scared of the truth getting out to a huge audience."

Luckily, Jeffree can afford to buy makeup to review regardless of whether or not he stays on the brand's PR list. To Jeffree, getting the truth out and being honest with his viewers is more important than getting free makeup for his reviews.

Jeffree's viewers can trust that when a product is "Jeffree Star Approved," it's something that Jeffree would use himself and that their money is being well spent.

2. Jeffree handles hate comments with grace and sass.

Jeffree's unique, unconventional look is one of the reasons why he is so widely loved by his fanbase.

Although his unconventional nature makes him a unique fashion icon, it also opens him up to a lot of hate from intolerant people. Thankfully, Jeffree knows better than to value the opinions of those types of people.

In one of his videos where he reads hate comments for entertainment, Jeffree says, "Let's just read some brutal, evil hate comments that maybe 10 years ago would have made me want to kill myself. But now I'm a strong girl and I can take it like a champ...If you are offended by any crazy words like 'faggot' or 'queer' or 'tranny,' I get called those every single day. You gotta take the power away from it, laugh, and do not take life serious...I can take the abuse. Some can't. I make a joke of it."

Jeffree is able to turn his hate comments into humor instead of taking them to heart because he understands the mentality of the haters. Hatred stems from jealousy. Jeffree, as a successful person, understands that truly successful people don't waste their time hating on others online. No one who is happy with themselves will feel the need to drag down others.

Since Jeffree is happy and successful, he knows better than to give the haters the time of day.

3. Jeffree is confidence goals.

They say a lion doesn't concern himself with the opinion of a sheep. Jeffree Star seems to embody this mentality. Despite enduring more hate messages and drama than the average person, Jeffree does not let anyone or anything diminish his sense of self worth.

In Jeffree's videos, he radiates self love and is never afraid to show it.

4. Jeffree is honest about his past and owns up to his mistakes.

Old videos of Jeffree Star have resurfaced in recent years, causing major controversy. Instead of making excuses for his past, Jeffree made a brutally honest apology video condemning the things he's said and stressing that they do not define his character today.

He said when he sees those old videos from his past pop up, he does not recognize himself and would hate for his past mistakes to tarnish everything he stands for today.

Jeffree says, "I think that racism is a very serious subject, especially in today's world. I'm embarrassed as a person because that is not what I've ever stood for. I'm all about self-expression, self-worth, and self-love. I think it's awful that you guys have to see me in that light...I am so sorry for my words. I am so sorry you ever had to see me like that…That is not who I am and I apologize deep down to the core of my fucking being."

The terrible thing about the past is that it can never be erased. The beautiful thing about the past is that we don't stay there forever.

People's life experiences shape them and can change their perspectives. The amazing thing about people is that they have an endless capacity to change and grow. That doesn't excuse the things they've said in the past and the people they've hurt along the way, but we can't chain people to their pasts and refuse to let them move on and change for the better.

5. Jeffree is unapologetically thirsty.

Jeffree speaks about sexual acts openly and isn't afraid to make dirty jokes here and there. He makes raunchy comments and it's clear that Jeffree says whatever he feels and doesn't care who's listening.

Sex should not be a taboo, unspeakable topic. Since Jeffree has such a wide platform, his openness regarding his sex life benefits society. By making sex a normal topic of conversation, it encourages others to be more in touch with their own sexualities.

Many people feel embarrassed to talk about their sex lives, but with more sexually open people like Jeffree in the public eye, hopefully that unapologetic, open attitude will rub off on society and make people more comfortable speaking about sex with the people in their own lives.

6. Jeffree and Nathan are relationship goals.

Sometimes when you see a couple interact with one another, you can just feel the love radiating from them. That's how I feel every time I see Nathan in one of Jeffree's videos.

It's clear in the way they speak to one another that they both have an immense amount of respect and love for each other. Nathan is more soft spoken than Jeffree, but their differences compliment one another and it is clear that there's strong foundation of friendship in their relationship.

Since Jeffree is the first man that Nathan's ever been with, many accused Nathan of being a gold digger. Jeffree completely shut down that claim by pointing out that they started dating before Jeffree even started his YouTube channel or began his makeup company. Even though their relationship may appear to be too good to be true, it's obvious that their feelings for one another are genuine and they don't care about other people's opinions.

When describing their first encounter, Nathan said that it felt like they had known each other for years and Jeffree said he immediately felt a level of comfort with him that he had never experienced with someone before.

Fans wrote to Jeffree asking if they ever felt nervous or had trust issues with one another because of the attention they recieve online. Jeffree explained the level of trust in their relationship and said that Natan is an open book and doesn't ever do anything shady or secretive.

Jeffree describes, "We have the passwords to each other's phones. I think when people hide that, you're obviously hiding something. If your spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend can't look at on phone and you're acting shady, you're doing something shady."

They both have a lot of fame and admirers, but it's clear that no one could tear them apart and they feel very secure in their relationship.

7. Jeffree challenges social norms and stereotypical ideas of gender.

Jeffree speaks about society and how people are stuck focusing on labels. He challenges the idea of gender and how we are taught stereotypes.

He says, "Everyone is born to think girls like pink and boys like blue. Take a second and think about that. Your parents are basically mapping out your opinions for you. It's crazy. Imagine if a baby was born without knowing anything about sexuality or gender. How would that person end up?"

Men in makeup used to only be associated with the drag scene, but male artists like Jeffree are changing the face of beauty and inspiring other men to become involved in the makeup industry. Jeffree challenges the status quo and gender norms through his makeup and androgynous appearance.

Since Jeffree has such a large fanbase, his widespread popularity normalizes the idea of androgyny. Younger generations are being raised to believe that gender doesn't have to define people like it used to.

People should be free to live however they please and beauty is no longer something that is viewed as gender exclusive.
