I will start this off by saying the best way to approach Black Friday is to NOT participate in Black Friday shopping. The negatives outweigh the positives and it’s a manifestation of the greed that exists in our society despite our efforts to suppress it and be thankful for 24 hours before then. However, if you cannot resist those discounts, here is my advice to you.
Get There Early
Do what you have to do. Camp out the night before, set an alarm, don’t sleep. Teleport. Just do it.
Get Out Quickly
Pretty self-explanatory. If you intend to stay to watch the fireworks, that’s playing with fire. And you’ll get burned. Or worse...sprayed by perfume!
Have a plan
Plan your list, plan your escape route, just plan your every move. It makes this day less complicated and painful than it needs to be.
Have a backup plan (or two)
Chances are not everything is going to go your way so be prepared for things to go wrong. Because they will.
Keep the Thanksgiving Spirit Alive
Whatever you manage or don’t manage to buy, remember the importance of Thanksgiving. Be thankful for what you do have and you are guaranteed to come out of Black Friday a winner.
Remember to be safe and treat others with respect
Don’t let greed consume you. Whatever the situation is, be courteous and treat others the way you want to be treated. Nothing you plan on buying is worth more than someone else’s safety.
Stick with Cyber Monday
At least you can’t get trampled in the safety of your own home.
