I don't know about you, but recently my life has been a disaster and to be completely honest it is hard to admit that to myself because I am the type of person who always has it together. I have always known what I wanted. I was always focused and determined, but now I am a completely different story. Sometime life just hits you. It literally smacks you right across the face like an unexpected wave at the beach. One minute you are standing smiling, breathing in the beach air.. relaxed and the next you are underwater unable to breath.
Lets face it the beginning of adulthood is a freaking roller coaster. You have more responsibilities, less time, less energy, and eventually it catches up to you. One day you are walking and the next you are sprinting. And meanwhile you are still trying to figure yourself out. Who are you? What do you want to do with your life? Are you going to be successful or a failure? So many questions and choices we have to make. Every decision and action you make can either break you or make you. No matter how big or how small. I know, scary.
I feel that so many people put on a front and that is including myself. We put this front of happiness and that we are doing good. Like we know where we are going. That we have ourselves put together, but underneath it all you are actually not. You know what.. it is okay to not have your ish together. It is okay to not be okay. You just gotta let God do his thing. Of course there has to be a point where YOU make the choice to slap life in the face back; when you have to get it together. No one can make that decision but you. You either take the hardships of life in a good way or let it ruin you.
Maybe one day there will be a feeling of content. You will rise above the wave and take a breath of relief. You will know who you are. What you want to do with your life. Who will be by your side. I believe in that. I think one day I will reach that day, but for now I can only have Faith in what God has in store.
