It may seem like it was just yesterday that Justin Bieber was crashing his car and peeing in buckets, but it wasn’t just yesterday and a lot has happened since then. Everybody loves a comeback story, and Justin Bieber is back, and better than ever.
There is no young pop artist out there who has received more negative feedback from society than Justin. He was first exposed to the public eye in 2009 at the age of 15. His first music video showed him throwing his own house party surrounded by girls and popularity. It would be hard for anyone at that age, exposed to fame and fortune, to grow an ego the size of the Hindenburg, and just like the Hindenburg, Justin’s ego was a complete disaster.
We are all guilty of doing dumb things in the process of growing up and learning; that is just the way life works. Unfortunately for Justin Bieber, his was in the public eye. Everywhere Justin went, the world went along with him. The idea of privacy and intimacy did not exist in Justin Bieber’s world. We watched him block off an entire street so he and his friend could drag race his vehicle while under the influence. We saw him make up for his abandoned childhood by throwing eggs at his neighbor’s house. In 2014, Bieber crashed an ATV into a minivan with then girlfriend, Selena Gomez, riding on the back.
Despite the ridiculous stunts we have seen from Bieber over the years, I think it is time we all begin to accept him back into our hearts.
The Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber on it’s own is enough for of us to allow Justin a “free pass” back into our hearts. Not only that, but Justin Bieber has publicly apologized and expressed his transformation into a new man numerous times. It’s not easy to grow up in the public eye and it certainly isn’t easy to apologize and admit to your mistakes in front of the world either and for that alone, we should have a deep respect for the young pop star.
If you’re thinking to yourself that talk is cheap, then remember some recent moments where Justin was truly a good guy.
Like the time Justin Bieber made the Carpool Karaoke video. What’s not to love about a guy with a good sense of humor?
Or how about the fact that Ellen DeGeneres absolutely loves Justin Bieber? If Ellen can love Bieber, so can you.
He does tons of charity work and uses his fame to touch the lives of others.
The last two songs Justin put out are absolute fire. To answer your question, Justin, no it is not too late to say sorry. We still love you.
If all of this is not enough of a reason to give Justin some slack, then I advise you to pop in one of his movies and give them a watch. You’ll be a “Belieber” overnight.
