Moments

It's the little things that you'll remember.

Moments

It’s the moment you're at the beach watching the waves crash on shore

It’s the moment you drive to get taco Bell with your best friend at 12am

It’s the moment when you are sitting in class, and realize that this is what you want to do with your life. The teacher is lecturing on on, and all you can think is “yeah I got this.”

It’s the moment you are leaving a friends house and that say, “text me when you get home, so I know you're safe” and you realize that she is your person.

It’s the moment you fail your first class and realize that you need to try harder.

It’s the moment you're having dinner with your mom, and you realize that she has given up so much for you, and that she will continue to put her life on hold so that yours can move forward.

It’s the moment at the end of a good movie, when you're sad for a split second because it's over.

It’s the moment you start a good book, and suddenly you find yourself 10 chapters in and can’t put it down.

It’s the moment you're getting ready with your best friend for prom.

It’s the moment you walk across the stage, and all of the sudden you graduated High School.

It’s the moment you get you college acceptance letter in the mail.

It’s the moment you stop to look at the lovely flowers they are selling at the farmers market.

It’s the moment you see your dog for the first time in a while and their excitement and love for you is so overwhelming you never want to leave again.

It’s the moment when you and your best friend make up after a long and awful fight, and you're sitting at Perkins until 2am talking.

It’s the moment you look up at the stars because you can't sleep and you see the beauty of this world we live in.

It’s the moment you you're moving out, and look back as you're driving away.

It’s the moment before you move back in to your college apartment and you're grabbing breakfast with your grandparents, talking about life and learning more about them.

It’s the moment you call your aunt and uncle and sit on the phone for hours and hours.

It’s the moment you wake up before your alarm and get to see the sun rise.

It’s the moment you're sitting at the coffee shop down the street and meet him.

It’s the moment after the storm and its calm.

It’s the moment before you fall asleep and everything is peaceful.

It’s all about these little moments.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
