Nobody wants to be at work all day

After a long work day, nobody ever wants to do anything.

Some people work out, then go home and sleep. Some people go home, eat then sleep. Some people have kids they look after. Some people have other obligations.

This doesn't mean that you can't have fun ands enjoy life. Just because you work and have other responsibilities does not mean that you can't enjoy your time. Even if its just for an hour or less – it is better than missing out.

It is so important to at least do one fun thing a day. Even if you don't have that much time- an hour or half an hour of doing something you love can make your day better.

My goal for this summer is to at least do one fun thing a day after work, even if it is taking a walk with my sister or getting ice cream with a friend. Some adventures are so worth it, no matter how little or long they take.

Its important to enjoy the time you have, and even though work is extremely important- a lot of people get caught up in the work life and forget to enjoy themselves.

Even grabbing a coffee after work and sitting at the coffee shop for five minutes is a time to relax and unwind.

I can't stress how important it is to have a good time and to enjoy every minute of every day. Even if you're working- make sure to enjoy the walk or drive into work or your morning coffee.

The other day, I had work from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., but I still went to the beach after. I haven't and a beach day since last month and since I work during the week and during the weekends the beaches are are crowded, I thought it would be a goof post work adventure.

My friends and I went to the beach and enjoyed it while we could, then we had a nice dinner out. I still went to the gym – even though it was after the beach. I filled my obligations and was still able to enjoy the day.

During my lunch the other day, I was able to go to J.P licks and get a smoothie. This just made my day, and it took a short time but I enjoyed every second of it.

This would not have been possible if I didn't decide to do something fun every day.

Remember to always make the best of everything, and to enjoy all that you do.

Just think: are you going to remember the long hours of work or the adventures you had?

Parks and Recreation excitedly gathered around a laptop at a table in an office setting.

The library. Club lib. The place every college student goes when they want to try and be a productive member of society. Who better to explain your experience than Parks and Rec?

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
