Is There Even Love Anymore In 2017?

I was thinking about the song from the Black-Eyed Peas, “Where’s the Love," all week. The world has gotten so bad they came out with a second one last year the discusses the biggest world issues. The reason why this song is such a connection is that my question is Where exactly is the Love? Jesus died on the cross for our sins, but he wanted us to love each other, but some reason we are still hating one another in 2017.

A few weeks ago there was a really bad terror attack at an Ariana Grande concert were several were either came out alive, badly injured or even dead. Thinking about what would happen if that was me? If I was at the concert in Manchester England. Just trying to have fun and perform in front of millions of fans night after night, that’s horror to think about traveling to the next place asking yourself what is next?

“ Where’s the love”... That you can not even go to a concert that you paid your hard earned money for to see your favorite musical artist just for someone to ruin it and cause such a hate attack?”

In 2012 another someone thought it would be okay to go into a school full of elementary school students who are just minding their business, who just are already scared of leaving their homes and getting on a bus and spending 6 hours with kids they do not know had to go in that day and some never made it back home that day. As a parent of those children the pain that must be going through knowing that they will never see that child graduate high school and go to college, get married, having children of their own.

“ Where is the love”... that would cause someone to go to a school where you just want to learn and meet new people. Not even just elementary school, but middle schools, high schools or even colleges. What causes someone to kill innocent people. These school shootings have got to stop! No parent ever should hear their child has been killed during school. No parent should have to bury their children.”

Dylann Roff decided to trick innocent people into making them think he was apart of the bible study at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church.in South Carolina. Shooting nine elderly, Roof pleaded guilty to nine murder charges, three attempted murder charges, and one weapons charge. He was then sentenced to nine consecutive life sentences and three consecutive 30-year sentences.

“ Where is the love”... that would cause someone to go into a church where you worship and kill multiple people that are trying to praise the name of God. Making other people feel as if they are not safe in the house of God where it is supposed to be a sacred place.”

With all these bombings and shootings going on for years and still today is the reason why I did not understand why people were okay with Donald Trump saying during his campaign “ I could go on the fifth ave and shoot somebody and I probably would not lose any voters” While many said he was just joking and using it to make a point, the world is so dangerous nowadays using it as a joke is not appropriate to use, especially to use during a presidential campaign. Not getting political just making a point.

Where is the love, that is my question, when will the hate stop and people stop killing innocent people, No reason why anyone should be scared to go to concerts, schools, or even churches. People should have fun without someone being stupid and killing. So ask yourselves where is the love?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
