I don't know about you, but regarding with what's been going on the past years, I feel as if the world is approaching its end. Of course, some people are going to disagree, and might argue that the end of the world is when the sun "explodes" or if God sends a message.

I beg to differ, based on what's been going on the past years. Personally, the world is coming closer to an end because of the lack of human justice and increased violence. Or perhaps we might be waking up to the unfairness and are attempting to go against such cruelty. Maybe the world isn't ending after all if the only thing that's happening is us realizing what has been going on and are trying to patch things back together. Unfortunately, I'm still holding on to the pessimistic perspective that the world is definitely coming to an end. To be honest, I've lost faith in humanity a while ago, but now it's completely gone after hearing the news about Boko Haram burning live children in Nigeria. At that moment, I just thought, "To heck with humanity. This is it, I'm officially done." I don't think I'll ever recuperate humanity, even if terrorism were once and for all extinct from the face of this planet. The rise of Trump doesn't make things better, either, especially with his minions saying that they like him just because "he's bold and speaks his mind." Yeah, well little kids do the exact same thing, but yet, adults have the nerve to say they don't like kids because they speak their minds. I mean, what?

The hypocrisy is also another thing that makes me want to pull hair out of my head. The blatant lies that some hypocrites can utter in order to cover up their tracks is so disgusting. Whoever the hypocrite is doesn't matter, celebrity, lawyer, or politician, he or she makes me want to barf out of grossness, especially when they continue to hold their heads up high and convince the public that they are all high and mighty. Ugh! The reason for bringing hypocrisy into this is because it sort of ties in with human justice. For example, the United States of America is widely known as the country with many freedoms, no matter where an individual comes from, or where he or she was born, they have opportunities in their hands without any big deals. Those of us who are living in America can see that, unfortunately, is not entirely true. We've gotten news of people being denied jobs simply because she wears a scarf on her head, or someone got shot by the police because of his skin color. How much more longer are we going to live in denial? Might as well fess up and admit that there is practicing of what we are preaching to the whole world. Sure, there's gonna be dirty looks from other countries, but it's better than giving out a false image to bring over people and then letting them have the struggle.

As for the violence, not much can be done about it, aside from gun control. I honestly can't give out a solid opinion on gun control right now because there just so many possibilities and factors to consider before settling on 'Yes, gun restriction' or 'No gun restriction.' Technology comes into play as well, as we've heard with the Apple and FBI case due to San Bernardo bombing not too long ago. Prohibiting violence, much less even extinguishing it, will take quite a lot of elbow grease and effort. As everyday humans, though, we should put forth our own effort into preventing violence instead of waiting for the government to take care of it for us. The government has the tendency to ignore major issues, such as the Flint water crisis, and instead, introduces laws that have absolutely nothing to do with the issue, like the Michigan governors making anal illegal, which was a dispute that was so 2003.

This entire article, my friend, is why I am beginning to believe that the world is gradually ending. Google can reassure me all it wants that the apocalypse is not happening, but my mind will not change. Not unless terrorists change their way (something that I wouldn't really hold my breath for) or if politicians, would for once, focus on the current issue instead of what former, long-dead, politicians would have wanted for this country. Perhaps there will come a time when humanity will be restored and everyone will truly enjoy life without discrimination, but we, the 20th century generation, won't be around to see it. If that's the case, and humans do have a spirit, mine will be eternally happy after that precious turn in human history. For now, let me sulk over the fact that all I see are humans but no humanity. Boo.
