The question a lot of people may ask is if Black Friday is worth it? Although the idea can be nice it can also be a hassle. I find myself less reluctant to travel out into the night to a mall after a restless day with the family. Maybe there is some benefit to waiting in extreme lines so I am here to list the pros and cons of Black Friday.
Pros:
1. There is the possibility of getting the item you want on sale.
You may just find that amazing laptop you have wanted for months but have waited for the sale. It may be a sale you cannot beat on Black Friday.2. You get excited to go out late at night.
Maybe you are a night owl and love the thrill of adventure. Running up and down aisles searching for the lowest deals is always an adrenaline booster.
3. It can be a tradition.
Your friends and family may find this to be a holiday on its own. It may even be the opportunity for you to shop with them to find a gift for those you care about.
4. The introduction of the holiday season.
You might like walking through the stores knowing that you’ll hear carols. It could be a right of passage to start noticing the festive colors and spreading cheer.
5. Living in the hype.
Maybe you get excited about the concept of Black Friday. You might get worked up about it coming for no apparent reason. I mean go ahead, shop your heart out.
Cons:
1. The hectic environment.
People may get a little testy around you. There are many factors that can cause a negative environment.
2. You may not find the deal you want.
Suppose you wanted a particular item but they sold out or there was someone who got to it before you could.
3. You are extremely tired.
Suppose you just stuffed your face with food all day. You might just want to sleep but decide to push yourself anyways to go out. And when you get to shopping you realize you may want to lie down and take a nap.
4. You believe in Cyber Monday.
If you are more of an online shopper then Black Friday can be worthless to you. In that case, staying inside is much more reasonable.
5. Black Friday ruins your Thanksgiving.
You don’t see the point in being thankful and then you go out and spend a ton of money on material possessions. This may cause you to believe that you’d be living out a contradiction.
No matter which side you find yourself preferring, it is truly up to you. Maybe Black Friday is your favorite or maybe it is your enemy. It is all up to preference. I personally do not find it to be worth it yet I know a lot of people who it benefits. But regardless, Happy Black Friday to all that will be participating in it!
