2017 is now upon us, and we all are guilty of making resolutions that we aren't going to end up keeping, because yes we do end up breaking them. Here's the thing you dont have to wait until the new year to start making changes to your life, you can start anytime you want!
These are some of the goals that i have set for myself but can also apply to you guys as well, in order to stick to your resolutions set a long term goal for yourself, change doesn't happen overnight so if you fail just keep on trying and never give up and never give in.
1) Learn something new everyday
There is always something new you can learn, whether its learning how to sew, how to speak a different language, how to cook, how to do calligraphy, whatever you want to learn. Some people give up the first few days because it can get challenging, but don't throw in the towel just yet, start off simple and then work your way up, pretty soon you will be a master of that craft.
2) Admit that you need help
The hardest thing to do is admit that you need help, we all have problems that we don't want to admit that we have but you want to make changes to better yourselves. Sometimes talking to someone about your problems can really help you, whether it is a therapist, a friend, your significant other, or a family member (doesnt have to be your parents) it shows that you trust someone enough to tell them, if you have someone you can talk to talk to them you will feel so much better.
3) No matter what keep trying
There may be obstacles that may get in the way of your success, whether its not so awesome test taking skills, lack of money, or even family problems. You should never let anything get in the way, use those obstacles as motivation to do better, keep fighting and never stop.
4) Cherish moments with ones you love
My grandfather is not in the best of health, which means moments may soon become fewer, so cherish every moment that you may have with them whether it is a holiday or just a simple conversation those moments count and don't ever forget those moments because they won't be around forever.
5) Have a set goal
Whether it is a long term or a short term, keep a goal in mind and write down the steps you are planning to take, and figure out how you are planning to accomplish each step, write down your goals, and think about how you are going to achieve them, don't forget "one day at a time"
6) Don't forget about new beginnings!
This is an opportunity to really start fresh and change some things for the better, those are only some of the things I am planning to do and you don't even have to wait until the new year starts to do it either, change can come at any time, the rest is up to you!
Hope everyone has a wonderful 2017!
