So if you are anything like me, you are probably drowning in homework, quizzes, essays, and projects right about now.

With finals just around the corner, life gets hectic. Everything that I have put off is finally starting to catch up with me in a major way. I do not take stress very well and it is hard to stay motivated when I begin feeling the pressure.

So here are just a couple of pointers to keep you on track for the remainder of this semester if you are struggling as much as I am.

1. Summer is so close!!!

If this doesn’t excite you, then I don’t know what will. I know it’s difficult right now and two or three weeks seems like an eternity, but it will be here before you know it. The only thing getting me through the days at this point is the fact that in just a couple weeks, I get to go home and spend the next three months with my family.

2. Finish strong.

Wow, I should really take my own advice… Try your best to make the most of the next couple weeks. Create a schedule with all of your deadlines and just sit down and get everything done that you possibly can.

I promise that it will pay off at the end. Grades STILL matter, even if you have convinced yourself that they don’t. The next couple weeks can make or break you, so don’t get crushed under the pressure. You are so close!!!

You might be sick of school and sick of everyone by this point, but just know that in a month or two you will probably start to miss all of your friends at school. Soak up every moment you have left because you don’t want to look back at the end of your semester and have regrets.

3. Don’t miss out.

It is hard at the end of the semester to want to do much of anything except sleep, eat, and binge-watch Netflix. I am the worst procrastinator and suffer from these end of semester symptoms.

JUST SAY NO. Get things done so that you don’t miss out on having fun. Go to all of the end of the year events even though you may not want to. Hang out with your friends and make the most out of your time.

Don’t get so far behind that you have to say no when your friends make plans to go do something really fun the week of finals.

4. Lastly...

I think we all can relate to the end of semester drag. It is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel during these last couple weeks and finals are never any fun. Just don’t be like me and complain constantly.

Finals are rough enough as it is, but it’s even worse when you spend the whole time being miserable. All you can do is work hard and maybe imagine yourself on the beach enjoying a beautiful summer day… or something like that. Whatever motivates you to get through this semester.

So don’t give up hope! Just finish what needs to get done, and then go watch some Netflix. You earned it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
