Whether you are single or in a relationship, I believe there is always a reason to celebrate love. I’ve always been a sucker for romance and I’ve fallen in love with countless books, poems, love letters, movies, TV shows, and songs that have captured the essence of it. So, in honor of this holiday, I’ve decided to put together a compilation of some of my personal favorites, I hope you enjoy!

1) "We get old and get used to each other. We think alike. We read each other’s minds. We know what the other one wants without asking. Sometimes we irritate each other a little bit. Maybe sometimes take each other for granted.

But once in a while, like today, I meditate on it and realize how lucky I am to share my life with the greatest woman I ever met. You still fascinate and inspire me. You influence me for the better. You’re the object of my desire, the #1 earthly reason for my existence. I love you very much."

- Johnny Cash to June Carter Cash

2) "Unless you love someone, nothing else makes sense."

- E.E. Cummings

3) "To My Dear and Loving Husband:

If ever two were one, then surely we.
If ever man were loved by wife, then thee.
If ever wife was happy in a man,
Compare with me, ye women, if you can.
I prize thy love more than whole mines of gold,
Or all the riches that the East doth hold.
My love is such that rivers cannot quench,
Nor ought but love from thee give recompense.
Thy love is such I can no way repay;
The heavens reward thee manifold, I pray.
Then while we live, in love let’s so persevere,
That when we live no more, we may live ever."

- Anne writes about Her Husband Simon
Anne Bradstreet was an early pilgrim writer (1612-1672)

4) "Won't we be quite the pair? - You with your bad heart, me with my bad head. Together, though, we might have something worthwhile."

- Zelda Fitzgerald writes F. Scott Fitzgerald a letter in the prologue of Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald by Therese Anne Fowler

5) "What else? She is so beautiful. You don’t get tired of looking at her. You never worry if she is smarter than you: You know she is. She is funny without ever being mean. I love her. I am so lucky to love her, Van Houten. You don’t get to choose if you get hurt in this world, old man, but you do have some say in who hurts you. I like my choices. I hope she likes hers.”

The Fault In Our Stars by John Green
- Augustus writes to Van Houten about Hazel

6) "And should this be the last thing I see
I want you to know it's enough for me,
'Cause all that you are is all that I'll ever need..."

- Tenerife Sea by Ed Sheeran

7) "Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O, no! it is an ever-fixed mark,
That looks on tempests and is never shaken."

- "Sonnet CXVI" -by Shakespeare

8) "As soon as I typed in love, there he was... And because Big still didn't have the words, he retyped the love letter from Beethoven, and Lord Byron, and John Kicks, and Voltaire. There they were, 'The Love Letters of Great Men: Volume I' plus one more, written by John James Preston - I know I screwed it up, but I was always love you."

- Sex & the City Movie - Carrie Bradshaw reads letters from Mr. Big

9) "Love is when the other person's happiness is more important than your own."

- H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

10) "Jamie saved my life. She taught me everything about life, hope, and the long journey ahead. I'll always miss her, but our love is like the wind. I can't see it, but I can feel it."

- A Walk to Remember - Landon talks about Jamie in the voiceover

Happy Valentine's Day babes!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
