In light of the recent actions taken against DACA holders in America, the question stands--when is enough going to be enough. Since President Trump's announcement about getting rid of the DACA program, I would lie if I didn't feel a sense of dread.

Personally, I am not a Dreamer, but I know many people who relied on this program so they could have some sense of security in America.

This program did much more than what President Trump thinks it is doing. It is not providing free rein for immigrants to come into the country, it is providing children with the opportunity to make something of themselves and go to school without fear. America was built to give people that hope and that chance to make something of themselves.

And if they worked really hard they could see the fruit of their labors.

Being the daughter of an immigrant and being surround by immigrants every day, I see firsthand the strength and drive each of them has in their daily work. Immigrants are some of the most hardworking people I have ever met. America has seriously been blessed with the best people. It is disheartening that most people don't see immigrants that way.

America was built off the backbones of immigrants whether they be White, Hispanic, Asian and so on. No matter the history of America immigrants has always been here. That is why for the longest time America has been known as the melting pot. Our society is intentionally made up of different faces and cultures that all blend together.

If we were meant to have only one race in the world, what would be the point of having terms such as migration or evolution? The human race would have died off a long time ago.

That is the beauty of America. Our population is quite diverse and people are trampling all over that beauty. The beauty to feel free to come to a country and try to achieve better for yourself and children. If immigrants had the choice to stay in their country I am sure they would. However, many are not able due to horrible circumstances such as war, day by day violence, etc. These circumstances cause them to see America as a beacon of light and hope.

Now, a person takes that hope away. Sometimes, hope is the only thing people have, its what drives them to be great. Hope to get a better job, hope to get into the college of your choice, hope to give back to the family that gave so much to you when you know they miss home. Hope is something we all try and hold on to no matter what the situation.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
