I'm In Love With The Man Who Died For Me

I don't believe you're ever too young to be in love, because I fell in love when I was very young, and here's why you should too.

John 3:16 "For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life."

I am in love and I have been for many years. People say young love doesn't exist, and when your brain isn't fully matured you cannot fully understand what it means to love. Those people are wrong, or maybe they have just never known a love great enough. For years I have been in love with Jesus Christ.

There is no sign of love greater than the sacrifice Jesus made for humanity when He gave up His life so that humanity would be delivered from their sins. I could not imagine making a sacrifice that involved allowing myself to be killed, but Jesus did it for people He didn't even know at the time! Jesus died because His Father told him to as part of a grander plan.

When I was young I went to church with my parents and grew up in Catechism and youth group. I always understood religion and God and Jesus and all that, but I didn't really know God until I got much older.

Through a series of life events, I began to welcome God into my daily life. He became the one I turned to in times of struggle, happiness, and just about everything else in my life. Only once I welcomed God into my life did I begin to understand the immense love He has for all of us.

Everyone always tells you you're too young to be in love. I fell in love when I was 14 years old; not to the man I would marry, but to the man I would always be in love with -- Jesus Christ.

Loving Jesus has opened so many doors in my life. By following the Bible verse Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Him who gives me strength," I have confidence facing any challenges. I know I always have someone to turn to, and that God's plan for me is greater than my plan for myself.

By loving Jesus I will be able to fall in love with the man God has planned for me to marry. My heart is so invested in Jesus that the right man will have to first know Jesus in order to know me. The man I will marry will always put God first and me second, and I wouldn't want it any other way.

Being in love with Jesus has taught me that prayer may not give you an immediate answer, but it heals and guides you to what God wants for you. Jesus will love you unconditionally, even when it feels like nobody could ever love you and you don't even love yourself. Jesus sacrificed His life to set you free, so that you don't have to struggle.

I don't just love Jesus, I am in love with Jesus. Being in love with Jesus has made me greater, fuller, and more open. My heart feels at ease, even in times of struggle and heartache because I know God has a plan. Being in love with Jesus makes me feel great and worthy because He sacrificed His life for me and I know that means He has a great love for me! By loving Jesus I am able to follow His actions and put myself in His shoes. It has taught me to accept all people and love others the way Jesus loves me.

1 John 4:19 reads "We love because He first loved us." I have the capacity to love anyone and everyone, no matter how young or old I am, because Jesus first taught us what love is. Being in love with Jesus inspires me to spread His word and His love to everyone because that's what He died for and His life's purpose should be honored and spread.

Falling in love with Jesus was the best thing I've ever done.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
