If you grew up in a small town, you can probably relate to a few (if not all) of these:

1. You knew how to drive by the time you were 12.Whether it was a mower, a tractor or a truck, driver’s ed was nothing new to you.

2. You loved playing your rival school — mostly because you were best friends with most of the kids on the team.

3. You were awe-struck when you walked into your first college lecture. There were more kids in one room than there were in your entire graduating class.

4. Your friends probably all had a senior picture that looked like this:

5. This was a valid excuse for being late to school:

6. You had the same friends since the first grade.

7. School was pretty barren on the first day of hunting season.

8. Going into town consisted of at least a 20-minute trip.

9. You probably spent your summers de-tasseling corn...

10. ...or walking beans

11. County fair week was the highlight of your summers.

12. "Cruising" is the most popular Friday night activity.

13. The nearest mall was about 30 miles away.

14. But there's probably a drive-in movie theater somewhere near you.

15. You swore all throughout high school that you would get out of that town someday.

16. But the truth is you loved growing up there, and you're probably planning on raising your kids in a small town too.

Small-town life can get boring now and then, but growing up in a small farming community taught you so many life lessons. You know how to work hard and how to make your own fun. I can't imagine having grown up in any other place; I can't wait to get back to small-town life in the near future!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
