We often look at social media and it brings us down, often times saying, "I wish I was as pretty as this girl." Or "I will never look like that model in the picture." By making these comments we are destroying ourselves. We are so quick to break ourselves down without even thinking of the long-term damages it causes to ourselves.
Sometimes we often question God………….
Why did you make me look like this?
Why could you not make me skinny?
These are just a few questions one might ask themselves, although God created you this way for a reason. Everything you go through has a purpose, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11. Every time I hear this verse the first thing that pops into my head is BUTTERFLIES. You may ask why do you think about butterflies that is crazy but butterflies and people have a lot more in common than you think.
A butterfly doesn't automatically become beautiful overnight, it takes a whole process. When you first look at a caterpillar turning into a butterfly you can't see them, they are in a cocoon that almost looks like a piece of dirt. This is where a caterpillar waits for days inside a dark small room to transform into a new creation. This is very similar to how we are as people; we can't just become the way we are meant to be overnight. Growth is a process. "He has made everything BEAUTIFUL in its time." Ecclesiastes 3:11
When the capitellar finally breaks out of the cocoon they have now be transformed into this BEAUTIFUL butterfly. Butterflies will never see their wings the way that we as humans see them. The beauty of Gods creation is shown on every butterfly, each one unique in their one way. This is how I see people we all struggle to see ourselves as being beautiful or good enough. Although if you think a butterfly is beauty it was created by the God that created you. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL AND NEVER FORGET THAT! You never know how others view you, they may be looking at you like the beautiful butterfly you really are.
God Saw all that he had made, and it was VERY GOOD. Genesis 1:31
From the creation of the world, God's invisible qualities, his eternal power and divine nature, has been clearly observed in what he made. Romans 1:20
