As we sit down and binge watch the best series on Netflix, we can't help but realize how different and unique each character is. They all contribute to the show with all of their wonderful and funny qualities. In the same way, all the universities in Texas have many amazing things to offer, and they each make the great state of Texas so unique. So, just like we all had to do, it's time for the characters in "The Office" to decide which college they should attend.
Texas A&M University – Dwight Shrute
A&M consistently proves itself time and time again. No matter what challenge they seem to face, they will always do it to the best of their ability. Just like Dwight, they never back down from a fight. Students at A&M have a lot of pride in their school and the people that go to school with them. They do not tolerate anyone who lies, cheats, or steals. They are loyal people in the same way that Dwight has an undying loyalty to Michael. And I mean c’mon, he’s a farmer with plenty of fight.
The University of Texas – Jim Halpert
Jim would take his classic Instagram picture with the "Gone to Texas” sign. Jim’s motto, just like many students at The University of Texas is “Work hard, play hard.” … And the students, just like Jim, deserve to have the fun afterwards. Jim knows how to get his work done and have a good time afterwards, or even have fun while he is getting his stuff done. No matter where Jim is he manages to have a good time. It’s also clear to see that in little ways that Jim and Dwight have rivalry going on between each other, even if neither of them admit it.
Texas Christian University – Kelly Kapoor
Texas Christian University can be a bit exclusive with who they let in given that their student enrollment is kept to a limit. Kelly enjoys the finer things and knows the true meaning of “treat yo self.” She will ultimately get what she wants, no matter what she has to do to get it. TCU also has a strong presence
Texas Southern University – Stanley Hudson
“Did I stutter?”
Baylor University – Angela Martin
Like Angela, Baylor is a little more on the conservative side than some of the other colleges in Texas. She’s a devout
University of Houston – Pam Beesly
Growing in recent years, The University of Houston has surprised many as one of the best rising universities in the nation. Like Pam, UH has proved its competence time and again. Pam would easily fit into the artsy feel of the surrounding museum/art district. Although Pam can sometimes be overlooked, she has many wonderful qualities that she is able to share. She is so friendly and gets along with almost everyone that she meets.
Texas State University – Ryan Howard
Ryan is a walking party. He is constantly having fun and acting crazy. Sometimes he can be a bit all over the place, but it’s all for his intention of making sure that he, and everyone around him, has a good time. Although Ryan may get a bad rep for not working hard enough in the office, he has a lot of potential inside that hasn’t been released yet. Sometimes it just takes a little time for him and other people to realize it. Even though Ryan knows how to have fun, he still knows how to be serious when its business time.
Rice University – Andy Bernard
Known as the “Ivy League of the South”, Rice is known for its prestige. The Nard Dog, being the Cornell alum that he is, would find himself now cheering on the Owls if he went to a college in Texas. Andy would be very supportive of his school and constantly work hard to prove that he is meant to be there. He boasts school
Michael Scott - Decided not to attend college.
Michael Scott has decided not to attend college and through his wonderful charm has been able to attain the position of “The World’s Best Boss.”
