Game of Thrones is just that; it's a game. The only question is, will you survive? Sometimes college majors seem like that, too… an endless game of who is going to be successful? Can you survive your course load? And answering the dreaded "What are you going to do with that major?" question that seems to surface at all holidays, meetings and every single day essentially. Since, as college students, we are basically playing our own version of GOT, it only seemed fair to assign the characters in the show to their destined major if they had to be us and go to college. Sorry, Dae, no dragons allowed in the dorms. Take it up with res life.

1. Daenerys Targaryen - Education

Daenerys is always on a mission to show people new ways of living. Her aim is to free people all over the world and give them a shot at a real life. In order to do so, though, she feels very maternal and nurturing toward her pupils. Mother of Dragons is an education major.

2. Jon Snow – ROTC

Jon Snow is always trying to do his best at maintaining discipline, even when no one else wants to follow the rules. He is a man who follows by the book, and his military strength and leadership are what gets many of the characters out of turmoil before it's too late. Snow is in ROTC.

3. Cersei Lannister – Pre-Law

Where do I begin with Cersei? Well, as we all know, that lady is a shark. Much like the fierceness of a lawyer who will do anything to help their client, Cersei manipulates the law to fit her case as needed. She is hard to argue with because she's highly intelligent and has solid points. Cersei is definitely pre-law.

4. Tyrion Lannister – Business and Enterprise Management

No one can make a deal like Tyrion Lannister. Tiny but mighty, he can broker an arrangement with just about anyone, and that is the skill of doing good business. He holds up his end of the bargain as long as it suits him, but when he needs to get out of dodge, he does so with haste. It's not personal, it's just business. Furthermore, he is usually in charge of maintaining the Lannister enterprise and family names, reputations, etc. After all, a Lannister always pays his debts. Tyrion is a business and enterprise management major.

5. Sansa Stark – Pre-Med

Sansa is highly intelligent and has a knack for helping people. She is serious when needed and would make the perfect disciplined medical student. A little blood doesn't bother this girl at all, and she will do whatever it takes to deliver help to those in need. A once docile girl, Sansa is now a very tough young woman. She also has the bedside manner of a doctor. Sansa Stark is a pre-med.

6. Arya Stark – Psychology

Arya is fascinated by how all things work. She even goes as far as studying mysteries with a very ominous man to quench her thirst for knowledge. Arya likes to get in people's heads and see what makes people tick. Arya is a psychology major.

7. Khal Drogo – Dropout

Well, college doesn't work out for everyone, and that's okay. Khal Drogo doesn't really do well with authority or discipline, and he does far better leading his people and following his own path. Khal dropped out and is leading a cult somewhere.

8. Joffrey Baratheon – Theater and Fine Arts

Joffrey may be a horrible person, but I think we can all agree he has a taste for theatrics. Face it, the kid is dramatic. This is why none other than the Baratheon King is a Theater major.

*Spills a drop of his ice tea* "Off with her head!"

9. Margaery Tyrell – Sociology and Social Services

Margaery is extraordinarily caring and concerned for those less fortunate within the walled city. She does her best to spend time with the commoners to see what they actually need from the royal family, and to help whenever she can. Margaery's care and compassion for other people make her the perfect sociology and social services major.

10. The Hound – Personal Security

Well, the Hound is a lot of things, gruff being one of them. While he isn't the friendliest, he certainly knows how to put the scare in someone. He would make a great bouncer or bodyguard. Therefore, the Hound is a personal security major.

11. Hodor – Studio Art

Hodor is an introvert, but you can tell he has a lot going on under the surface. While a man of few words, Hodor is always looking for ways to express himself. Hodor would make a great studio art major because he could paint everything that his words fail to describe.

12. Brienne of Tarth – Women and Gender Studies

Brienne breaks many boundaries and stereotypes in the Game of Thrones. A strong female who knows what she wants and will get it herself before letting a man do her bidding, Brienne is a tough chick. She is a poster child for feminism, and would, therefore, make an excellent women and gender studies major.

13. Petyr Baelish – Marketing and Sales

Ah, Petyr Baelish, what a guy. Well, a deceptive and extremely manipulative person anyway. Petyr Baelish is always the first at the scene when something goes awry because he is always attempting to put a spin on things so they land in his favor. Peter is skilled at selling versions of the truth to meet his needs with everyone he encounters. Peter would thrive in the marketing world, and therefore, Peter is a marketing and sales major.

14. Theon Greyjoy – Finance and Economics

Theon is a sort of plucky individual. He's not quite sure what he wants to do, but he knows what he's good at, so he sticks with that. He's smart and can adapt to new situations when he needs to. Just like a Wall Street economist, when the tide turns, Theon Greyjoy (or Reek, depending on the day) turns with it. Theon is a finance and economics major.

15. Eddard Stark – History

A man of tradition and a longstanding history with Winterfell, Eddard Stark is a creature of habit. He thrives on the history of his people, and the kingdom surrounding it. His identity survives on the history of his family and the legacy they left him. His aim is to pass that history on to his children, so they can continue the family name. Eddard is a history major.

16. Jaime Lannister – Politics and International Affairs

There's not a smooth-talker around that's as skilled as Jaime Lannister. This king's guard is able to negotiate all sorts of political arrangements and ensure that they occur as promised. He fights for his family, his name and his country, and he does his best to ensure the continued power of his family. Jaime is a politics and international affairs major.

17. Daario Naharis – Foreign Language

Daario Naharis is a mysterious foreigner who sweeps Daenerys off her feet. This smooth-talking, charming individual is skilled in many languages and therefore can communicate with all walks of life. Daario is a foreign language major.

18. Lord Varys – Communications

Lord Varys is a master of communication. He has built up trust with enough sources all over the city, that he literally knows everything before it even happens. Let's be honest, most Com majors were the gossipy ones growing up (and I can say that because I am one), and Lord Varys fits the bill. Lord Varys is a Communications major.

19. Stannis Baratheon – Anthropology

Stannis Baratheon is 100% an anthropology guru. He believes that he has the right to the throne simply because it's in his bloodline even if he's not capable of summoning the attention of a room much less an entire nation. He is dedicated to the study of the past and is receptive to other types of healing and power sources coming from other cultures—i.e. the lady with red hair. Stannis is an anthropology major.

20. Bronn - Health and Exercise Science

Oh, Bronn. The go-to man when you need pretty much anything. Since he's so into training and teaching combat to delicate princes with little fighting instinct, it's only fair to assume he would be a personal trainer in another life. Therefore, Bronn is a health and exercise major.

21. Jorah Mormont – Computer Science

Jorah is so dedicated to Daenerys, but alas his infatuation is just not reciprocated, but he hangs around nonetheless, hoping, waiting, etc. He becomes the go-to fix-it man whenever there is an issue, just like your neighbor in college who just happens to be a computer science major. Oh, your computer isn't working, just text ___, he'll know what to do. Jorah is the fix-it man. He's a computer science major.

22. Catelyn Stark – English Literature

Lady Catelyn: lovely, intelligent, and full of worldly knowledge. A fan of the classics, this lady is the picture of propriety and all things proper. She knows how to handle herself like a lady, but command the room like a woman when she needs to. She is eloquent and knows just what to say in almost all situations. Catelyn is an English literature major.

23. Robb Stark – Architecture

Robb wants to redesign and reinvent the entire kingdom. His ingenuity and talent for seeing things as a big picture lends itself well for a career in architecture. He sees the before, the during and the after, and can plan the steps necessary to make the picture reality. Robb Stark is an architecture major.

24. Bran Stark – Philosophy

Bran Stark is certainly all-seeing, and with the help of the 3-eyed raven, he begins to question everything he's ever known. Sound like any philosophy majors you know? Yeah, me too. He has a constant curiosity for how everything began, continues to exist and will be in the future, and this thirst for knowledge can only be satisfied with answers. His life turns into a quest for this information, and therefore, Bran Stark is a philosophy major.

25. Gilly – Nursing

Sweet, sweet Gilly. Just a small wildling trying to raise her baby among a bunch of savages and knights of the watch. While that's not an ideal situation to be living in, Gilly makes it work. She continues to care for her baby as well as several other characters in this world, proving that her skills lie with taking care of people. Gilly is a nursing major.

26. Tommen Baratheon – Classical Studies

Tommen doesn't really fit in with his family because he's a nice and decent person. Therefore, it seems like he is always off on his own while everyone else makes the decisions for the kingdom, even though he wears the crown. Since he is still young, Tommen is a fan of stories and kingdoms from another time, which is why he would fit right in among those who love to study Greek mythology and the classics of generations before us. Tommen is a classical studies major.

27. Samwell Tarly – Personal and Culinary Services

Samwell Tarly is such a lovable character. I'm a big fan of underdogs, and Samwell is precisely that. While he may not excel at being a knight, he is such a loyal and well-meaning friend. His skills lie in helping his friends and within the culinary arts, and if he had the fortune to be a chef in another life, he would have thrived. Samwell Tarly is a personal and culinary services major.

28. White Walker – Engineering and Physics

Before you get insulted, think about it. I'm not calling you an undead soulless monster. But who else in this show has the power to use nature at their free will using ice and snow as weapons, building entire fortresses out of ice, and being kind of badass, even if they are kind of terrifying? Then there's the idea that you never get any sleep with this major, and the white walkers are undead, so they certainly never sleep. If anyone would excel at an engineering and physics major, it's a white walker.

Stay Tuned Game of Thrones majors, Winter is Coming.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
