First things first, happy belated Fourth of July🇺🇸 ! On the Fourth of July, we experienced different types of fireworks--all colorful and special in their own way. Some college majors can be compared to the different types of fireworks we saw! Although I only mention a couple of the hundreds of majors out there, I'm sure they can relate to other majors as well!
The Firecracker
The average Poli Sci major may be compared to a firecracker after a long, heated discussion about politics (which does get to most of us, not only poli sci majors) HOWEVER, these intellectuals use their ideas, loud and heavy tone, and vast range of vocabulary to spark up sub-discussions.
The Smoke Bomb
Smoke bombs can entertain youth, with a wild imagination, for hours! The smoke bomb doesn't explode, instead...it just, smokes? The average Philosophy major can turn anything into a life lesson. An Arts major may also be compared to a smoke bomb because of their wild imagination that allows them to create inspiring and magical art.
The Novelty
The average Comp Sci major may be compared to the novelty fireworks for the many ways they are presented. The novelty fireworks emits colorful sparks before a small firecracker explosion...just like how a programmer completes one aspect of their project, but needs another function to work so they tweak a little bit of the code and voila, the whole thing's messed up. And that's when the programmer explodes in frustration--just like the novelty firecracker!
The Fountain
The fountain is a cone-shaped device that emits sparks from the ground. These types of fireworks do not attract children, since it's subtlety colorful and exciting. These sparks do not go up very high and do not last too long either. The average Psychology or even Communications major may be compared to the fountain firework for their subtlety, mildness, and lack of frustration, generally speaking.
The Ground Spinner
After igniting a ground spinner, it moves randomly. The most popular is the "blooming flower," which spins and shoots off colored sparks, much enough for it to visually look like a blooming flower. The average Business student (and the sub-majors within a Business school) may be compared to the ground spinner for growing in their prospective major and their attire.
