Why I Don't Want To Write This Week
Shyanne White

If you haven't realized by now that every single week I publish an article, just take my word for it. I do. Every week I have to think of something to write about. Something I hope many people will read, but not many do. Something I actually put my effort into, but see no reward in. That's why, this week, I submitted my article late. This isn't something I normally do. I'm usually very good about meeting deadlines, but this week was crazy busy, and writing was my last priority. Maybe some of you can relate to this. Maybe some of you really weren't feeling that English paper that was assigned two weeks ago and is now due tomorrow. Or maybe you don't. You see no reward. So here you are. Here are some reasons maybe both you and I didn't want to write this week.

1. You have other work to do that is more important.

2. Everything is piling up, and you're simply overwhelmed.

3. Finals, duh.

4. You enjoy doing other things, too.

5. You physically had no time to sit down and brainstorm of things to write.

6. You forgot.

7. You're too stressed.

8. You feel like your effort isn't going to be recognized, and that hurts.

9. You have a life.

10. You literally cannot think of something to say.

11. Who's actually going to read it?

12. Will anyone actually care?

13. Why do you need a reason?

14. Your computer decided to hate you.

15. Just because, OK?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
