Iced coffee just might be one of the greatest inventions. I pretty much can't start my day until I've had some form of liquid caffeine, preferably iced coffee with a great amount of cream. After a cup of ice cold coffee I am transformed from grumpy Cassidy into ready to take on the world Cassidy. Trust me, I don't stop having iced coffee because it's winter. I love it all year round. So these stages apply to myself every single day...and just about every iced coffee lover out there.

The Before

Before I've had my iced coffee my day is just a little bit off. I literally crave for the moment I finally get to take a sip.

1. The tiredness is unreal

Before I've had any type of iced coffee I can barely keep my eyes open no matter how many hours I've slept. All I know is that I need to get to the closest Starbucks ASAP.

2. I crave the taste of it

Sometimes I seriously crave a certain flavored iced coffee and feel like I can't possibly do anything until I've had it.

4. Everything is sunshine and rainbows when I take my first sip

My mood is instantly transformed.

3. I'm a grumpy grouch until I get it

I'm pretty much Oscar until I get my iced coffee. I'm the definition of don't talk to me until I have my coffee.

5. I instantly become a nice person

You can begin to talk to me now.

6. I'm ready to move at a pace faster than a sloth

Alright, let's go!

7. Afterwards I am ready to take on the world

I feel like I can pretty much do anything.

8. I won't have to take a nap for at least 3 hours

No amount of coffee can really make it so I don't need a nap. My iced coffee just prolongs it.

9. I feel like I can do 10 things at once

Have a bunch of homework to do? No problem! I can do all of it at once thanks to my bff iced coffee!

10. I honestly feel like a whole new woman

What can I say? Iced coffee makes me a better person.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
