Ever wonder what flavor of ice cream your major/topic of your future career would be? It isn't a thought that a lot of people have considered, however, I have come to a strict conclusion with some majors fitting perfectly with a certain ice cream! What would your major be? Vanilla? Chocolate? Maybe even a birthday cake? Read below and find out!

1. Engineering: Coffee

You may be thinking: why coffee? But, with the work that engineers are put to, constantly in class and doing projects all throughout the weekend and week, the only thing that can keep them running is definitely a cup of coffee. Coffee makes it possible for the engineers to keep up the workload and still have energy.

2. Communications: Rocky Road

Communications majors need to be the perfect mix of everything. A little bold, confident, talkative, outgoing and spunky. There is no better flavor then Rocky Road to express the personality of anyone trying to pursue a career in the film and media world. With the different treats in Rocky Road ice cream, you find the perfect unique mix of different flavors.

3. Business: Vanilla

Being a business major comes with many dedications, a positive job outcome (in most situations) and a pretty set in stone life. You know what you want to do and working with business is a very serious job that needs to be handled with care and time commitment.

The typical stereotype of a businessman or woman is a serious and put together person with a briefcase and a work suit. Someone plain, just like the simple yet delicious flavor, Vanilla.

4. Nursing: Chocolate

Who doesn't love a nurse? Comes in the patient room and talks up a storm, always so sweet and positive, and probably the easiest and likable person you will come to talk to at the doctors is the nurse. What does that remind you of? Chocolate. Everyone loves chocolate, its the favorite ice cream flavor to millions of people, but mostly kids. Simple, yet sweet. Just like a nurse!

5. Math: Banana Split

While Math has a lot to do with numbers and adding things together, so does a Banana Split. You add the cherries, you had the bananas, and even the ice cream scoops with the chocolate sauce. Everything in a split sundae becomes a mess of too many things adding at once, but still ends up tasting great. Just like math problems that might seem crazy and complicated, it always ends up right.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
