9 Problems All Hungry People Face

Trying to avoid any outside contact with the cold weather and rain, I'm sitting in my living room watching Rachel Ray make quesadillas right after eating my lunch.

There are a few problems with this: 1. I just ate a bowl of mac and cheese and a bag of chips (great diet, I know. Sorry mom). 2. Of course, she's making quesadillas – my favorite food group. And 3. I just ate lunch, and I'm still hungry and wanting quesadillas! If you know me, you know I like to eat. It doesn't even have to be when I'm hungry, I could literally eat all day. I probably come from a long line of ancestors who specialized in cooking and eating, but the cooking skills skipped a generation, and all I know how to do is eat. #hungrypeopleproblems

1. You're hungry all the time.

"Full" is not something that occurs often. I'm always thinking of what I'm going to eat for the next meal, or even what I'm gonna have for a snack in about 30 minutes.

2. Even when you're not hungry, you could still eat.

If there's food in front of my face, I will eat it. We could be out to dinner, and I could be finished with my meal, but if there are still some bread sticks lying around, I will keep nibbling until someone says it's time to leave. Dessert is always an option, even if my bank account says it's not.

3. When you go out to eat, everyone is ordering for you.

In a group dinner, I always tell my friends to order my next two or three choices on the menu, so I can steal a taste. It really is the best of both worlds.

4. You're the leftovers trash can.

In this instance, it's okay to feel like trash. I will gladly eat whatever you don't finish, especially if you listened to me and ordered my next choice.

5. But eating actual leftovers is the last resort.

Sometimes leftovers are the best, but it's also a sad day when you don't have any other food to eat and have different, new and fun meals.

6. You always go out to eat to hang out with your friends.

Whenever people ask me what I do for fun with my friends, the answer is that we go out to eat because I'm always craving something new, and I drag them along with me to fulfill that craving. Thanks, friends!

7. You eat more than just your feelings.

I eat my feelings, my stress, my boredom, my laughs, and my cries all with a large pizza and some guacamole, and then I get more feelings because the food is so good. It's an endless cycle of emotions that overwhelm my palette.

8. Sharing is not in your vocabulary.

When it's with family, I guess I'll share because they were the ones who raised me. But, I'm always skeptical to share with friends mainly because I'm selfish and love myself too much to not keep everything for myself.

If you can relate to this, let me know, and let's celebrate being hungry by eating a lot of good food together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
