Relationships are tough. Ask anyone from middle school teens to tenured 50 year marriages and everyone will tell you something unique to themselves about the struggles they've encountered with relationships. As a 21-year-old guy getting ready to graduate college, I would have never assumed I would have found someone that makes so many of my relationship fears go away. I've found that girl who embraces my flaws and empowers me to utilize my strengths. The girl who makes fun of me every day just to keep my ego in check, but at the end of day never fails to show me just how much I truly mean to her. I've found the girl who is a leader and lover all in one. She fights for what she believes in, but would support anyone else to make sure their success is achieved. At 21, I’ve found the Monica to my Chandler. There’s a chance yours is out there somewhere. Here are a few signs to look out for.
1. You can be completely awkward together.
Completely awkward. 24 hours, 7 days a week. No matter who is around or where you are at, all that matters is the friendship and bond you have with this person. If this means you overshare a little too much when you’re out with your friends, then there’s a good chance you’ve found your Monica.
2. She picks you up when you’re down (and vice-versa).

You’ve definitely found your Monica if this is the case. If she is there to lift your spirits when it seems like everyone else has abandoned ship, it's real.
3. You can admit your flaws to one another.

Being in a relationship is hard, man. If you’ve found someone that you can admit
4. You can be stupid and make mistakes together.

Everyone does it, especially at my age. If you can find someone who will ride the roller coaster through all of the craziness with you -- congratulations! These are the moments I know I cherish more than anything, and that make your relationship so much stronger.
5. You can’t imagine your life without her.

Literally. If the thought of being together forever makes your heart flutter like an airplane propeller and your cheeks hurt from smiling, you’ve found your Monica.
Life is messy. Relationships are messy. Monica and Chandler had one of the messiest relationships on primetime television for over a decade, but at the end of each episode no one questioned if those two characters loved one another. If you’ve found the Monica to your Chandler (or the Chandler to your Monica), then you’ve done alright. Enjoy living this extremely beautiful, messy life with an even more beautiful, messy partner. I know I will!
