Come on people it is the most wonderful time of the year! It is full of magic, family, and delicious foods. It is all about the celebration of Christ and we can not get enough of it. This article goes out to all of my fellow people who are obsessed with Christmas. If you don't know if that is you or not see if these things sound like you!
It's October and you are already thinking about it.
You start your countdown super early, and you also start your wish list months before. You live for this day all year round. You talk about your Christmas plans with your family and friends way too early, but you really can't help it.
You listen to Christmas carols constantly, especially after Thanksgiving.
No matter the weather or the place you are ready to burst out into Christmas carols at any minute. You know all the words and you even have choreographed dances to a good amount of them.
You know there is no such thing as too much decorations.
You cannot just stop at one Christmas tree. You need all kinds of lights, like every single color. You love making your own ornaments and making ginger bread houses. You cannot wait to put out the garland and the fake snow. You love hanging stockings and you know you can't be trusted with the ribbon because it will end up everywhere.
You have all the classic Christmas movies memorized.
You can quote all the classics like the Santa Claus trilogy, Elf, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph, and more. Everyone has their go to favorite that they have to watch at least once before Christmas morning. You might even go to the nutcraker ballet. You just can't get enough.
You love Christmas activities.
You just want to go ice skating, Christmas caroling, sledding and more! You want to build a snowman and decorate cookies. You keep talking about how fun it is going to be to wrap all of the presents.
You love Christmas cards.
You love getting them and you love planning your own. You try to coordinate with the rest of the family and you get so excited to see how everyone else took theirs
You know the real values of Christmas.
You know it's not about the presents or getting out of work. You know it is about the birth of our savior and about a time that we can get together with loved ones to share our faith and love.
