If you haven’t already noticed, here are some pretty obvious signs..
Greek life is tabling…everywhere.
About every other person you see is wearing a lettered shirt.
Banners are hung around campus.
There are sponsored dinners to give information.
As well as large info sessions.
Hashtags are used to spread the word.
You will see recruitment sidewalk chalk.
There are Instagram photo challenges and invites to events.
Many cornhole games are played.
There are many sets of huge wooden letters,
and very friendly faces.
Chapters hold open houses,
and there are many fraternity T-shirts for sale.
There is quite a lot of car paint happening,
and they tend to travel in packs.
There are many, many buttons,
and everyone “throws what they know.”
Oh, and those individuals look more put together than the typical “I just rolled out of bed” college look.
Sure, it may all seem overwhelming, chaotic, or annoying, but just give yourself a moment to pause, look at it and let yourself be interested. You never know—taking that one moment to look deeper into what is going on on campus—you may think differently in the end.
Moral of the story, we all encourage you to Go Greek, so why not give it a try?
