Take a breath, let the nostalgia from your pubescent middle school days sink in. If you watched the comical television show, you shouldn't be surprised by the title of this article, because we all have a lot to learn from Mr. Gibby Gibson.
It may seem that the only thing we could learn from Gibby would be how not to act if you want people to like you. But while Gibby was a little strange, everyone appreciated his unique take on life, as he remained true to himself throughout the show.
1. Go against the norm, embrace your nakedness
Gibby was never one to shy away from defying stereotypes. He was the Salmon among hundreds of Plankton. Gibby was like, "Let's go back to our roots, pull a pre-tree of the knowledge of good and evil Adam and Eve, and be naked." So go forth. Break the status quo and let your freak flag fly. But not in Jimmy Johns, because they firmly stand by their "no shirt, no shoes, no service" policy, which I found out the hard way.
2. Shut up and dance
Life can, oddly enough, really suck the life out of you. In order to stop that from happening, you just have to let it freaking go and dance. Whether you're at the Cheesecake Factory or the Cheesecake Warehouse, get up on that table and shake it.
3. Be honest with yourself
It's important to be real with yourself and to remind yourself that you aren't the greatest thing since sliced bread.
4. Be your own muse
It's hard creating things based on other people and their experiences. So take what you've learned from life, or just your face, and make something great out of it!
5. Be true, be you
that basically sums up all that Gibby has to teach us about life, so here are some pictures of Gibby being Gibbayyy.
In essence, be naked, dance, be hurtfully honest, be vain in your creativity, and you'll be a monumental disappointment to your parents, but at least you'll be the butt of everyone's jokes!
