1. Watch a Christmas movie

You can never go wrong with watching elf (or any Christmas movie for that matter) around the holidays. Not only does it bring Christmas cheer, but it also gives you a good laugh.

2. Give someone you love a gift

The joy and happiness someone has on their face when they receive a gift will definitely bring you joy.

3. Read the Christmas story

4. Attend a church service

Celebrating with a church not only helps put things into perspective his Christmas but it can also be a calm place to relax and renew.

5. Eat some goodies or drink so hot cocoa

Let's be real, one of the best parts of the holidays is the food. There are so many options and for some reason, all the food tastes delicious. Who can resist a good hot cocoa or freshly baked cookies?

6. Avoid crowded places

The last thing you want to do around the holidays is to get stuck in traffic or in long lines, so avoid places that are going to take your Christmas joy away (or just waste your time).

7. Listen to some Christmas music

Christmas is the only holiday with its own genre of music, so why not listen the heck out of it when you're given the chance.

8. Put up a Christmas tree

Something about looking at a Christmas tree all decked out in lights and ornaments seems to always bring Christmas cheer.

9. Spend time with family or friends

Holidays are never complete if they're not spent with people you love, so call up a friend or a family member and hang out and have a merry, merry Christmas

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
