The How To For Girl's Night

As the great and powerful Beyoncé would said, "Okay ladies, now let's get in formation..." because it's GIRL'S NIGHT!! That's right. It's one of the most amazing events to ever be created. Every group of gals out there is bound to encounter the greatness that is girl's night. It's featured in every great female-strong movie out there. It's a time to relax and unwind with your fellow lady friends. The guys will be okay on their own for a night, and you most certainly do not need them at this moment either. So go on. Get your masks out, turn the speaker up, and gather up your girls. It's time to get the party started!!

Here's all you need to know to make sure that your girl's night lives up to the expectations that all the great female-driven movies have given us ladies:

1. Have a Banging Playlist!

Whether it's a variety of today's strongest female voices like Nicki Minaj, SZA, and Rihanna or throws it back to some of the greatest female groups like Destiny's Child, TLC, and The Spice Girls, get that playlist BOOMING with girl power.

2. Have All the Pampering Essentials You Deserve!

Face masks, foot baths, delicious sweets or candy...GET IT ALL! You work just as hard as the guys, and you deserve all the pampering you want, no questions asked!

3. No Drama-Mamas!

As much as us ladies enjoy a good gossip session, try to leave all of that outside the girl's night. Try to make sure that it's simply a night for good times and memory making. Don't spend your night wrapped up in Ashley's latest scandal.

4. Get Your Party Shoes On!

After you feel like the pampered and gorgeous princess that you are, get your outfit and (most importantly) your shoes ready to go! Go out to clubs. Dance the night away. Have a good time, but stick together! Don't leave any of your ladies behind, especially for a boy. Girl's night is girl's night.

5. Take A Lot of Pictures!

This may seem like a given... But one of the greatest things about girl's night is remembering all the amazing things that happened at the last girl's night. Take good ones, bad ones, funny ones. Take all kinds and keep them to look back on. It's no secret that as we get older, we get busier and busier every passing day. So making these memories are crucial because the opportunities to make more can start to diminish.

Well ladies, that's all I've got. It might seem simple, but that's how it should be. Girl's night doesn't have to be some extravagant event with loads of stuff to do. It's simply so amazing because of the girls that you spend it with and the memories that you make. Try to make this a routine event. And I promise that no matter how often you do it, the greatness of girl's night will not go away. Enjoy some time with just your girls!!

It's worth it.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
