"Every year the women of New York leave the past behind and look forward to the future... this is known as fashion week,” our beloved Carrie Bradshaw once stated profoundly. She was right.

Year after year celebrities, it girls, and industry professionals spend their days and nights attending the Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer runway shows, presentations, and fabulous cocktail parties of the fashion world’s most elite designers. Those lucky enough to experience the glorious month of fashion in New York, London, Milan, and Paris are invited to a firsthand preview of the newest trends for each season—and present some serious fashion envy to those who aren’t in attendance.

For everyone scrolling through social media just wishing to be a part of it all, you are not alone. However, with each four-city fashion marathon that passes by, advancements in technology and consumer interactivity are providing the fashion week experience for anyone who wants it. To stay on top of everything that is fashion month, follow this guide on how to watch from the sidelines.

Follow Everybody

Fashion month is as good of an excuse as any to be absolutely shameless on social media. Bloggers, editors, supermodels, and socialites are having the time of their lives right now—and want us all to know it. If you’re looking for an up-close and personal take on all the glamorous fashion shows and parties, take full advantage of all of the exposure.

The greatest fashion week coverage is from the front row seaters themselves. Some of the most socially active fashion news sites and publications during fashion month include The Coveteur, WhoWhatWear, Glamour Magazine, Marie Claire Magazine, and New York Magazine’s ‘The Cut,’ and some of the ever-so-chic editors themselves to follow for updates are Teen Vogue Editor-in-Chief Elaine Welteroth, Instagram Fashion Editor Eva Chen, Contributing Editor Shiona Turini and Creator of the fashion site Man Repeller Leandra Medine.

Watch from Home

In addition to the clips of shows that can be viewed on Snapchat and Instagram, there’s a way to livestream a majority of designer presentations online. Viewers from home have the opportunity to experience shows at the exact same time that everyone else is, and all of that can be done from the comfort of their own bed. By visiting http://newyorkfashionweeklive.com/, you get a front row seat to all the glorious fashion week madness.

Stay in Touch

Between the overwhelming amount of shows and events in each fashion week city, it can be difficult to keep everything in order. To stay updated on the dates and times of each show, view pictures of each collection, and have access to exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, you best believe there’s an app for that. Vogue Runway, Fashion GPS Radar, Fashion Week Online, and HEED Fashion all provide downloaders with the full fashion week experience for free. Fashion insiders themselves have admitted to using these apps to get the lowdown on shows and events they couldn’t attend themselves.

Unfortunately, not everyone has the opportunity to be present during the most coveted time of the year, but with all of the resources available for fashion hopefuls all over the world, it’s easier to be involved. Between social media and spending hours on end watching live streams, it’s almost as good as actually being there. Almost.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
