5 Tips On How To Be an American Tourist
Economist.com

Everyone knows that American tourists are some of the most noted tourists abroad. Polarizing, loud, never forgotten, locals love it when Americans come and spend time in their homeland and just make already existing stereotypes a reality. Now anyone can be an American tourist, even if you aren’t American! It just takes practice and a mild monetary investment, but you too can be the stereotypical American tourist. Now, take these five steps to heart, and you’ll be a typical American tourist sooner or later (Disclaimer: Anyone wishing to attempt this needs to know it will be met with mixed to negative results.)

1.Be As Loud As Possible

Make sure everyone around you knows that you are not only tourists but that you are specifically American tourists. Yell, screech - anything you see that pleases you should elicit some sort of ear-shattering noise. People love it when their quiet, low-key life is brought up a few decibels when you scream at that tree you’ve never seen in America or that building with all the fun designs on it.

2.Wear All the Brand Name Clothing You Own

You want all of those foreigners to know that when you own the finest Nike, Adidas, or Abercrombie and Fitch clothing. Make them drool at your amazing fashion sense that you got with all of that money you have and with access to the finest American retailers. Make them jealous you’re American and they are not.

3. Point Out All the Things You’ve Seen in James Bond

Everything you see that you think you probably saw in a James Bond movie, you should point to and loudly yell “Ah I saw that in Goldeneye” or “I can practically see Sean Connery running by that right now!” It’s great because not only is James Bond British, which makes you seem more internationally aware, but it also takes place all over the world, which means you going abroad makes you just like him basically. Everyone will be so impressed by the cool movies you’ve seen and you’ll make the locals jealous they don’t have cool things like Hollywood.

4. Mention How The Locals Are Exotic Or Unique

Always make sure to let the locals know they are so different and maybe even mention that how they live is so different and odd. Locals love to feel special by you making them feel different. Of course, mention how you think their way of life is cool and all, but yours is superior.

5.Debase Monuments By Putting Up Bunny Ears In Pictures Or Pretending To Kiss Them

It is so cool and hip to take precious and beloved monuments and bring them down a notch by making bunny ears and such. Take selfies with the monuments, pose with them, and make everyone around you know that this monument is cool, but you are cooler. You want everyone to be jealous of the ‘swag’ you have while abroad, and, of course, you want to look super fun and playful by doing these things.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
