How To Ace Your Finals

Well, it looks like it's that time of the year again—that’s right it's time for finals! You have been gearing up for this moment for quite awhile now. Finals can be pretty stressful, so make sure you're prepared! But have no fear, with these quick tips you’re bound to ace those finals!

1. Go to class

I know this sounds crazy, but in order to do well on your finals you actually have to go to class!

2. Make a game plan

Having a study schedule written out is helpful with figuring out how to prioritize your time.

3. Take charge of your grades

There is no one there to tell you when and how to study for your finals.

4. Study groups

Studying with a group is beneficial! If you are having a hard time with a particular concept there is bound to be someone who knows it.

5. If you haven't already, start going to office hours

Your teachers are really helpful and sometimes they can give you an advantage for meeting with them!

6. Try not to load up on junk food

Caffeine might keep you awake, but you also need to fuel your body with the proper nutrients in order to retain useful information.

7. Write out everything you know

If you need help memorizing something, try writing out everything you know about it.

8. Take a break

If you spend every single hour trying to study, you won't be able to focus. So make sure you take some breaks, just not too many!

9. Don't beat yourself up

There are times when you just know that you won't do as well as you had hoped for in a class. Don't beat yourself up about it!

10. Be your own cheerleader

There is power in a positive attitude. When you believe in yourself, positive outcomes tend to occur!

11. Be proud of all you accomplished

The semester is almost over! With the proper studying habits you're going to rock those finals.

Good luck!

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
